This is Psyche! She's the goddess of the soul in Greek mythology, but she was born a princess who was so beautiful that even Aphrodite was jealous. So Aphrodite wanted her son Eros to shoot her with an arrow but Eros is a klutz apparently and accidentally pricked himself with his own arrow while looking at Psyche so wHOOpsies now he's in love with her
Meanwhile Psyche was so gorgeous that all the guys were too scared to be with her and her dad was confused as to how she couldn't get a husband and asked the Oracle of Delphi who told him that she was destined to marry a monster and that he had to send her to a deep dark mountain for eternity. So like a good father, he did.
But actually it was Eros waiting in that mountain but he wouldn't let her see him and know that it was Eros but one day she found out and Eros was like *surprised pikachu face* and up and left. And for some reason he saw this as betrayal that she wanted to find out who he was and Aphrodite was like *lE gAsP* and forced her to face 4 trials
On her last trial she had to steal a box of Persephone's beauty, but when she opened it it was actually the ESSENCE OF DEATH and she died but Eros was like omg i'm so sorry bbgirl and turned her into a goddess. The end :D
oh and butterflies were a big symbol of hers hence the exessive amount of butterfly vibes in this piece lmao
