"What are you doing here?" Prue asked Bucky, a soft frown on her face. Bucky sighed as he tried to get the words out to tell the teenager the bad news.
"Strange came to me, he told me that one of our villains has managed to get here, he wants revenge on us of course, and he believes by attacking you he will obtain that revenge." Bucky answers finally. He watched as Prue sighed annoyed, she was over it. She just wanted a nice life. She wanted to be a normal...ish kid that was just too smart for other people. And had powers, too.
"What can I do, Bucky? I mean, I don't want to do this heroic stuff anymore, I just want a normal life, that's all I ask for." She whispered, feeling her senses going haywire. She was freaking out just a little. How was she going to even be able to help him? Her dad knows where she is at all times.
"Kiddo, I'm not asking you to help, I'm telling you to be cautious. We just wanted you to know," he said softly, seeing her panic. "No way in hell, am I making you be a hero? You are here to be free. Let Strange and I handle this." He said to her firmly.
Prue sighed softly. "Are you sure?" She asked, just wanting to be one hundred per cent that they weren't needing her.
"I'm damn sure doll face." He said with a smirk.
"Order for Prue Voight!" The female workers' voice chimes out.
"That's me. Talk to me later, and keep me posted, pleased. Also, if it's Loki, I invited him, okay." She said before going over and grabbing the bag of food and drinks, which surprisingly was a chore. Bucky chuckles before taking the drinks and helping her. The two continue to walk to the precinct, just catching up.
Outside the 21st, Jay was waiting for Prue and what he saw he didn't like much. "Prue!" Jay shouted, walking over to the pair.
"Hey Jay," Prue says, smiling as she hands him the food. "Jay, this is James; he was just helping me carry everything. Thank you so much for the help." She said kindly to Bucky.
"No worries, glad to be able to help." He said before turning and walking away from the pair. He listened as Jay scolded Prue, the girl apologizing to him, but she really truly needed help carrying everything, and she promised that she didn't tell the 'strange man' anything important. Bucky shook his head before walking away, back to his and Doctor Stranger's hotel.
Inside Intelligence were smashing out their lunch, all wanting to get back to their reports so they could all go home. They were also a bit worried that they would get a case soon. They prayed they didn't. No cases meant people were safe. Their luck ran out.
"We got a case!" Prue heard her dad shout before the door closed behind him, Prue not hearing anything more. She shrugged her shoulders before going back to her food and reading her texts on her phone, Loki was actually texting her about his newest adventure and his last one. She held her squeal as she realised that her best friend was coming to Chicago to be with her. Prue wanted to leave and go set the room up for Loki, but she knew that her dad nor Jay would be letting her go out at the moment.
She glanced out and saw the team were leaving, Hank came back to his office and opened the door to see Prue frowning at watching the team leave. "Hey kiddo, we have to head out, look at the locations, so I'll see you in a bit, and if we aren't back soon, I've got a fifty for a cab in the drawers of my desk." He said to her as he grabbed the things he needed, including his gun, which made her senses go up just a little bit.
"Okay, be safe, dad." She said smiling, Hank smiled and hugged her tightly.
"See ya soon, kiddo." He said, leaving her in his office.
Prue sighed as she looked around. She was a little bored now, so she walked out of her dad's office and headed down to see if Trudy needed any help at all. Stepping into the busy room, she walked over to Trudy and rested her chin on the counter. "What do you want?" Trudy asked the girl; she didn't look up from her computer.
"Dad and the team are out on a case, I don't have any homework, and I don't have friends my own age." She stated, pouting. Trudy sighed before looking at the girl and pursed her lips.
"I've got some computers back here not working well, can you fix them?" She asked the girl before her.
Prue grinned manically as she pulled her tool kit out, "I thought you'd never ask." She said as she ran in and found the non-working computers. She spent hours on the computers giving them better updates, and maybe giving them some sneaky little upgrades, she would never tell Trudy this. Nor her dad.
Trudy, being a busy woman, had completely forgotten that Prue was in the back, well, that was until Voight came over to the woman and asked her. "Where's Prue?"
Trudy blinked, now remembering the young teen was in the back. She turned around, not seeing the girl where she originally was. She turned her head around and around, trying to find the girl in question. "She was right there." She said, blinking in surprise.
As the two were about to go out and search for the ten, Prue walked out with grease across her face and grinning manically. "Prudence Penelope Voight!" Voight called out to the girl, startling her. Prue dropped her tool kit to the floor and held her fists up in defence.
"I didn't do it!" She shouted; confusion swept over her face.
Voight shook his head as he went over to his daughter, checking over her. "What were you doing?" He asked her.
"Fixing things," she answered.
"What things?" He asked her as he folded his arms over his chest.
"Maybe, maybe not the security cameras, so that they run really well and can scan the criminal faces so that the data will be sent to the arresting officer." She stated, with a sheepish grin on her face. Both Voight and Trudy looked at the girl in surprise.
"What?" Both said, surprised.
"I was giving the precinct some upgrades." She stated, pointing to the computer before them, as the camera's scanned over criminals, data popping up about said criminals. "It was going to be a surprise, but I got a little carried away, so I went to the guy across the street, he was a homeless guy, and I offered him the fifty you said to use for the taxi, and he gave me the wires that he had." She said with a grin, now picking up the wires. "So, surprise." She said as she went over and started connecting the wires.
Both Voight and Trudy looked at each other and left the girl to her devices. They were going to see what she was going do with the rest of the system. They were actually interested in hearing about it soon.
