JUNGKOOK POV
Jungkook glanced down at the omega, his heart beating
fiercely as they came together, over and over. While it had only been a few days, it felt as if they'd known each other forever.
They moved together as if they'd performed this dance before, years of practiced carnality.
Jimin's body felt made for his
And a little part of him
pretended that this omega
was his. This is what it would feel like
to be bound. To begin a family.
A legacy.
He slid his hand through Jimin's hair and tugged, forcing the omega to look up at him as
he thrust deep.Jungkook felt in those moments, he could look down at Jimin for the rest of his life.
That he wanted to look down at Jimin for the rest of his life.
Which was insane.
It's just the rut.
The instinct.
Nothing more.
It'll all be over soon.
Yet, he didn't want it to be
over. Not even closeTwenty-four hours later...
Jungkook laid his go-bag into
the trunk of his car, still feeling odd about simply leaving without... anything...It's what he wanted.
He said so himself. Forget.
He'd heard little from Jimin
over the last day, besides the occasional sound of footsteps and an occasional snore as he pressed an ear to the door. While Jungkook had wanted nothing better than to immediately put distance between them, five days of
sex had left him dehydrated
and running on empty. After devouring most of the
food he'd brought with him,
he'd slept for hours.Later, he'd awoken, showered, and re-packed what little he'd used before escaping to the garage bag in hand.
Lifting his stare, he eyed the door he'd just exited, wondering if he should say his goodbyes.
But the thought of facing the omega again left him feeling strange.
Two strangers forced together...
He ached to see Jimin again
but the omega's words
whispered in his mind. It's just the aftereffects...
We go back to being strangers...
Strangers.
They weren't strangers.
Not anymore.
Never would be, no matter
how much they tried. He had come for peace and
quiet and got none of that.It was better to just break
away and put it in his past,
just as Jimin had suggested.Pretend it didn't happen.
He slid in behind the wheel of
his car before reversing out of the garage. As soon as he was outside the gates and roaring down the mountain road, he sensed his mistake.
He wanted to turn the car
around and return to his omega. He's not my omega.
He said so himself. Go home.
Trying to ignore the question whispering on the frayed edges of his mind, jungkook stamped on the accelerator and raced toward home.
But that question plagued him the whole way.
What if he's carrying my child?
