THIRD POV

Jungkook exited his parked
car and eyed the small office under Tae's art studio.

When he'd bought the building, the glass had been soaped over in the two small offices on the first floor.

He'd barely given them the once over with the realtor, as Tae
had said he'd likely use them
as storage.

The larger upstairs space had been what his youngest brother had clamored for.

The 'Gone to Lunch' sign hung above the handle and he felt
the disappointment hit. Hard.

He strolled up to the glass and eyed the mess inside. Bolts of fabric were strewn everywhere.

Furniture wrapped in plastic with tags taped on them were all clustered in one corner.

A large desk laden with drawings, invoices, what looked to be pistachio shells and markers was situated in the other corner.

It was obvious that the space was too small for his needs but Jimin was just starting out, so maybe it was all he could afford.

I wonder how much Tae is charging rent fortheoffice?

Turning his head, he saw a
small box labeled 'Take One.'

He snaked his hand inside and pulled out a business card.

It had Jimin's smiling face on
it, and that alone was enough
to quicken his pulse.

And then he noticed the phone number. Jungkook smiled.

Without another thought, he grabbed his cell and dialed
the number.

Maybe the omega wasn't far and they could share a lunch before he headed back to the office.

The call was picked up on the third ring.

"Hello." Jimin answered angrily.

"Wow... you don't sound like you're having a good day."

Silence fell on the other side.

"It's Jung—"

"I know who it is."

Jungkook paused, sensing
his timing was likely off.

Or maybe it was the fact he wasn't abiding by their agreement to go back to
being strangers.

"I know you said we should forget one another but I
stopped by Tae's studio
and saw your office.

"Thought I'd just say hello."

"Maybe... I don't know... take you to lunch."

"Lunch?"

"Yeah you gotta eat, right?"

"If you're not too far away
and haven't eaten yet, why
don't we?"

"Maybe you should ask your fiancé to lunch."

Click.

Jungkook moved the phone, staring at it a moment.

Fiancé? Quickly redialing, he
got Jimin's voicemail.

"Look, I don't know what information you have but it's wrong. I don't have a fiancé."

"I'm bound to no one and I
want to see you again."

"Call me. Please."

Maybe Tae has some info
for me.

He climbed the stairs to Tae's studio but soon realized no
one was there.

"Tae?"

After calling out a few more times and not getting an answer, he called his little brother.
