Author's Pov
Amelia stares at the man in front of her. The shock was visible in her eyes. That was years ago, and even though Amelia was too young to remember that day, Liam constantly reminded her that she is his. When Amelia was fed up with his reminders, he stopped.
"I was there," Ace muttered, his voice emotionless. Amelia opens her mouth to say something but her voice betrayed her. She was too shocked. He was there? That day? Something clicked in Amelia's mind and she gasps loudly.
She backs away when she remembers something. A faint memory, the one that left a scar on her. Not emotionally but on her own body...
Flashback
Everyone claps when little Liam cuts the cake with Amelia. Both the kids were holding hands and smiling at the cameras. Liam cuts a little piece of cake and gives the first bite to his family and Amelia does the same with hers.
Liam takes a big piece of cake and smashes it on the girl's face who gasps while others just laughed. Amelia gently pushes Liam and giggles.
"I am going to wash my face okie?" Amelia says to her family who nod. She runs to the washroom and washes her face.
When she come out of the washroom, she saw a little boy staring at her. When the boy realized that he is caught, he dashes off toward the emergency exit.
"Wait!" Amelia shouts but he was out of her sight. She pouts and goes to her family.
"Let's have dinner now," Liam says and holds Amelia's Hand. Amelia's father glares at the little boy but says nothing while her brothers do the same which didn't go unnoticed by Liam who smirks at them.
Once everyone was settled on the big table for dinner, the maids came and start serving the dishes. Abramo, Amelia's father frowns and whispers something to Liam's father who raises an eyebrow. He sniffs the area a little and his body turns stiff. He signals his bodyguard to come there and then says something to him.
The bodyguard nods and whispers something in his earphone. A chief comes rushing in, his breathing was fast and he was sweating badly.
"Fire! Sir! The house is on fire!" He yells and comes forward but the bodyguards come forward and push him back, making a barrier in front. Michael King, Liam's father stands up. His chair made a loud noise.
"Release him" He orders and the guard bows and let the chief come forward.
"My apologies sir but the kitchen caught fire, somehow and the garden is burning in flames! We need to get everyone out" He shouts in panic.
The door of the hall opens and a number of bodyguards come. One bodyguard says something to Michael who nods at the other bodyguards.
Soon, everyone was rushing out of the house. Some people yell when the flame covers the whole front yard. Michael orders his guards to open the emergency door. The king's and Russi's family helps everyone, with Liam and Amelia volunteering.
"Let's go," Michael says to Abramo who nods and gathers his family. Both the family rushes out. Amelia looks behind to see a little boy yelling for help. He was the same boy she met outside the washroom. Amelia let goes her mother's hand and shouts.
She runs towards the yard which was burning in flames. Amelia yelped in pain when her ankle twisted. Luckily, she managed to get hold of the boy's hand. She runs towards her family who were shouting at her while Liam was just...staring.
The boy leaves her hand and runs forward. Amelia screams when a bomb blasts. Everyone shouts and her family runs towards the fire. Somehow, Amelia manages to fall away from the fire. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was slow.
"Amelia!" Liam shouts when he snaps out of his thoughts. He runs towards the girl who was now on Abramo's lap.
"I...saved him" Amelia whispers and blacks out, leaving everyone in misery.

Okay! My exams are over so updates will be more often. I have planned everything on how I am going to end this story and am very excited. I worked hard on this one so no complaints! I will gladly accept feedback though <3
