Chapter 53

Author's Pov [Trigger: Gunshot, blood, fight]

Just when Amelia was about to ask something to Alvice, a gunshot was heard. Amelia jumps in fright while Ace and Lucas take out their guns, getting into defense position along with the bodyguards who were standing outside the room. 

"Don't worry, we have 20 guards outside this room" Ace assures. Amelia shakes her head in denial. 

"There are 15" She whispers, holding her brother for her dear life who was hardly able to open his eyes by now. 

"No. I counted them" Lucas confirms. 

"They are 15! Five of them went missing" Amelia shouts at him, frustrated that they are not accepting the truth. 

Ace's head turns to Amelia and he looks at her with a questioning frown. 

"In my defense, I thought that they are doing some other work," Amelia answers. Lucas groans and runs outside when more gunshots were heard. 

Ace wanted to go, to fight but Amelia needed him. Amelia knew that Ace won't leave her so she says, Let's go" 

Ace looks at her as if she has grown two heads. But Amelia ignores his look and turns to Alvise who was almost unconscious now. 

"Alvise, I will be back soon. Take care" With that, she gives his brother a quick kiss on his cheeks and takes Ace's hands. Ace, without saying anything let her drag him out. Even though the gunshots were getting louder and their heart was thumping in their chest, they didn't stop. 

When they both arrive at the entrance, Amelia gasps. The glass windows were shattered and a number of lifeless bodies were on the ground, all bloody. Amelia's breath hitches when she sees the blood. Her stomach churns at the sight but she takes a deep breath, shaking the feeling off her. 

This is not the time to think about it. She thought. 

"There is no one here" Ace says but the gunshots were still heard from the other side. 

A man comes from the right side and shoots at Ace who ducks smoothly. Amelia gasps and Ace runs towards the man, kicking the gun off his hand and punching on his jaw as hard as he could, knocking him conscious as blood comes out of his. 

Amelia turns to see a gun pointing at her, she was about to go to the other side but more men come around her, Ace sees her and runs towards her but was blocked by other two men who came out of nowhere. They lock his arms. A man shoots him but Amelia dodges the bullet while Ace struggles.

Another man grabs her from behind and signals the first man to shoot her again. Amelia bites the man who was holding her in a death grip just in time to see a bullet going right past her shoulder, hitting straight into another man. Amelia smirks 1 down. 

Amelia runs towards the shooting man, kicking him in his shin. The man falls down to the ground. 2 down. 

Two man grabs Amelia from either side of her shoulder. Amelia jumps upwards and kicks them both in the stomach. Both of them fall to the ground, Amelia takes the nearby gun and shoots them, right in the eye. 

She didn't notice that Ace was behind her and so she punches him in his stomach. Ace groans and Amelia's eyes widen. 

"Oh my god Ace. I am so sorry" She says. Ace waves his hand a little, trying to ease her. 

"Don't worry little fighter. I am fine. But how did you do that?" He questions. Amelia smirks. 

"You don't know me that well." Saying, she looks beside the two men who were holding Ace, they were now on the floor with a bullet in their hearts. 

Author's Note

The upcoming chapters will be long ass chapters~ Anyway, the story is going to end soon and I would like to know who you guys ship more. Ace and Amelia or Liam and Amelia (suggest me some ship names, will ya?) Also, I'll not post on May 11. Next chapter will be posted on Sunday. I'll finish posting before my birthday.
