Author's Pov
Lucas, who was silently watching both Ace and Amelia steps forward, breaking them both out of their zone. He clears his throat.
"I am going to search the warehouse with other guards, some will stay with you in case you know" He announces and looks at the guards, signaling them to search.
Lucas turns around, ready to leave.
"Wait" A soft voice echoes. Lucas turns to look at Amelia who was looking at him with red and puffy eyes. She sniffs and then comes forward with Ace following the same action. The only difference was that Ace was looking at her with confusion.
"Let's divide and search together," She says. Lucas raises an eyebrow. The girl just came and started crying. She is too weak to search around this dark warehouse. Lucas was about to say no but Ace cuts him off, knowing well what he was thinking.
"I will be with her," He says. Lucas looks at him and blinks. After staring at him for a minute, Lucas shakes his head. This girl has surely done something to him.
Lucas nods, "Alright, you both go to the left and I will go to the right." He says. Ace glares at him, not liking that he is ordering him. Ace doesn't like getting ordered but nonetheless he nods, for the sake of Amelia.
The three of them splits in half with their guards following them. The warehouse was dark, cobwebs covered every part of the ceiling, and the dust on the floor and the wall was a clear sign that the warehouse is no longer in use.
The real question was, why this warehouse? Ace's heart thumps loudly in his chest and the worst reasons and thoughts keep on coming to his mind. But he didn't let that show to anyone, he has been learning how to keep his face and body language emotionless when needed.
While Ace's thoughts were running through millions of thoughts of what will happen today and whether they will be successful or not, Amelia's mind was occupied somewhere else. She was thinking about her family and her love, Liam.
Throughout the time course of Amelia's living with Ace, she has completely forgotten about Liam. Though Ace did tell her the truth, that he did not kidnap her but her mind was still a little suspicious.
Unfortunately, that's not the only thing going on Amelia's mind, a little space of her mind was occupied with something else. It was in search of an answer to a question that have been asked by her heart.
(Don't mind my cliche writing style)
"Amelia?" Amelia was snapped out of her thoughts at Ace's interruption. She looks at him to see his frowning face. She gives him a questioning look.
"Did you hear that?" Ace answers her silent question. Amelia frowns and tries to hear something but it was silent. She looks behind him to see his guards still there.
She then looks at him, "uh no? Sorry...I was just thinking about something" She says.
Ace sighs and keeps his hands on her shoulder, "I know it's hard but concentrate, okay?" He says in a calm voice but Amelia knew he was getting irritated by her.
Amelia nods and looks down to the floor, guiltily. Ace sighs and pushes her a little, indicating to move on.
"I GOT THEM" A voice booms around the warehouse.
