Author's Pov [Trigger warning: Mentioning of Mafias and all. It's light stuff though]
Ignoring all those thoughts, all those flashbacks Amelia says, "Tell me, Ace"
Ace takes a deep breath, not liking where it is going. He knows he knows how to hurt Amelia really is and he knows what's happening to her but there was a bigger problem on his hands.
"Amelia, I know how sensitive this topic is. I know that there are a lot of things going on but there is something you must know" Ace says, his voice filled with emotions. Ace was feeling bad for breaking this out to Amelia but it was important.
"Ace...what is it? Tell me" Amelia pleads. Her heart thumps in her chest as she waits for Ace to break the news to her.
"War is coming" Ace whispers, his voice so quiet as if he was mumbling to himself. Ace himself was scared but he didn't let that show.
On the other hand, Amelia was confused. She wasn't able to understand what he meant by that but looking at Ace's expression she knew it was not good.
"What do you mean war?" Amelia questions, not understanding anything.
"Amelia" Ace takes a step forward. "You already know about your family's secret and you know that I too am in the mafia. We mafias have a history, Amelia. A long, dark, and terrible history." He says.
Amelia frowns. A history? What? "I'm so confused..." Amelia mumbles. Ace sighs and hesitantly holds her hand. When Amelia didn't protest, he drags her to the sofa and sits her down.
"Are you sure you will be able to handle it?" Ace questions. He was worried about Amelia's health and he knew how fast Amelia starts panicking.
"Fuck you, Ace! You're really testing my patience right now. You better tell me what's going on or I will cut your dick and feed it to my Piranhas!" Amelia yells and Ace looks at her wide-eyed. He didn't know Amelia could be that scary and it was quite scary.
Ace takes two steps back and raises his hands in surrender. Amelia cross her arms and taps her foot on the floor, Ace was testing her patience. Her mind is already too full but she wants to know what's going on and Ace testing her like that was doing no good.
Suddenly, Ace's demeanor changes to seriousness. He takes a deep breath. "A few years ago, our forefathers were the ones who ruled the world. Like now, they weren't hidden. Each and every person knew about the Mafias, every commoner, kid, everyone. The police and government were not as powerful as they are now. There was almost no assistance from any secret organization and even if they were, they didn't come in between mafia stuff. Because Mafias were much stronger and more powerful. Different mafias ruled their country, and each and every mafia had its own army. They all were dangerous. Hungry and greedy for more. They all wanted more power than they had and that is why, they all were each other's rebels. They did have an alliance though. Mafias used to rule the world. To ensure that no war occurs between the mafias, an organization was formed. One with strict rules that all mafias had to follow or else they won't be recognized in their world and will be labeled as traitors. Being a traitor was terrifying. Even the commoners were not allowed to help them. Being a traitor meant one thing; Death through the most worse torture. " Ace pauses to look at Amelia.
Amelia's mouth was open, her eyes wide and her attention towards Ace's words. She was too stunned to say anything. She never thought there was more to the mafia than she already knew. She thought that she knows everything but she was wrong. Snapping out of her thoughts, Amelia frowns when Ace pauses. She looks up at Ace and gives him a questioning looks.
Ace looks at the ceiling and whispers, "One day, they found a traitor"
