Author's Pov

A tear fell down Amelia's cheeks as she recalled everything. Amelia's hand goes to her neck out of instinct, she traces the familiar scar she had during that accident. Ace watches her, silently trying to figure out what Amelia is thinking.

Ace knew that telling Amelia about him was not a good idea but he had to. More truths were to be said but Ace stopped for now, he had to tell Amelia many things that he shouldn't but he didn't want Amelia to be in the dark.

Ace looks at Amelia as she traces her scar, and he frowns. Is it her habit? Ace thought he didn't know about Amelia's scar.

"You should rest" Ace breaks the silence. He couldn't see Amelia standing there crying. He wanted to comfort her but he knows she wouldn't like that.

Ace takes a hesitant step toward Amelia. Amelia looks up, straight into his eyes. Amelia's eyes were red but teary but she didn't let that affect her posture.

Ace could sense the pain and vulnerability in Amelia's gaze. He knew he had to tread carefully, but he also knew that he couldn't keep hiding the truth from her.

"Amelia, I know this is a lot to take in," Ace begins, his voice low and gentle. "But there are things I need to tell you. Things that will explain everything."

Amelia nods, signaling Ace to continue. But Ace shook his head, "You're too tired. I don't think it's a good idea to tell you right now, But I promise, I'll tell you everything"

Amelia glares at Ace. She takes a step towards him, her eyes throwing daggers and him. Amelia raise her hand and poked Ace's chest. Ace raises an eyebrow and looks down at her finger poking his chest.

"Funny if you think I will wait," Amelia says and gives Ace a fake sweet smile. Her whole demeanor changed from sadness to daring.

Ace sighs, he knew it was a mistake to tell her but again, he couldn't hide it.

"Amelia, I know a lot more than you think. I know...I know about your kidnapper and I know what happened to you." As soon as Ace said that, Amelia's eyes widen and she takes a step back out of fear.

Her body shook with fear as she recalls the bad memories. She couldn't believe it. She was hurt, sad, nervous, and scared. Her emotions were mixed. Amelia looks at Ace, her eyes held disbelieve. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came.

Amelia takes a shaky breath, "You did that?" She questions. She hoped that Ace says no.

Ace's eyes widen hearing her, "What? No! Fuck! Amelia! I wouldn't even think of doing something like that!" Ace says, his voice now panicking.

Amelia breathes in a sign of relief but she was still now good. She didn't want to talk about that...her ugly bad past. It's been a long time since someone talked to her about it and the thing that it was Ace himself was shocking.
