3rd Person POV
Hye Jin gasped as her eyes flew open while her body jerked. Her breathing was uneven, she had difficulty in breathing. She sat up and put her hand on her racing heart and took deep breaths to stabilize herself. It took a few moments for her to finally be able to breathe without a problem.
"What–" she wheezed. "What the hell was that?!" Her fingers went through her hair as she tried to grasp the situation.
"That– That was me..but not me– but me—What?" she groaned and closed her eyes.
"Alright, Choi Hye Jin– get a hold of yourself. Okay, first thing first, collect facts." she calmed herself and thought of all the things.
"Okay I know for a fact that I wasn't a character in the drama but I– or someone who looks like me was there in the dream— no memories." she got up from the couch and paced the living room.
"By seeing the memories, I was close to Nam Ji Ah and I guess she's older than me. And seeing how I gave her a friendship necklace I'm not her sister— so a friend." She stopped pacing when a sudden realization hit her.
"Wait— if I'm not her sister but a friend—then where are my parents? Did they also disappear like Ji Ah's parents? Or am I an orphan?" her head started to spin from the revelation so she moved to sit back down on the couch.
"What should I do? How will I know? And— what even am I? Who all do I know? Am I all alone in this world? This shit is a lot to take in— I need food–yeah food makes everything better." she got up and walked around the apartment and found her bedroom.
She freshened up and went towards her closet and took out an outfit to wear.
"I'll not wear the underwear–just in case. I should put a reminder to buy a few pairs as I'm stuck here for a while." nodding to herself, she quickly changed from her clothes and wore beige coloured trousers along with a black turtleneck shirt.
She furthermore grabbed a black purse– opening it, she found a wallet, a mask and an ID batch. Upon further inspection, she found out that she is a detective—
Oh damn shit.
"How am I going to figure out a case when I can't figure out how I came into this world? Ugh, whatever one step at a time." she found her phone on the side desk and grabbed it and placed it into her pocket.
"Sorry me of this world but I'll be using your money—but technically it's mine because I am you and you are me. Okay— I should stop talking to myself– yeah I'll shut up now." she sighed and walked towards the main door, not forgetting to lock and look at the apartment number and walked to the elevator.
