3rd Person POV

Six Months Later...

It's been a total of six months since that day. Shin Joo and Yoo Ri had recently married. The kid, Soo Oh was going to school, and Yeon and Rang went every day to find something, a way to bring Hye Jin back. Ji Ah had got to spend time with her parents and her boyfriend Yeon.

Everything and everyone were moving forward but they couldn't help but be stuck with a hope to bring her back. They knew the day would come but when was the question they didn't know.

Ji Ah was working on editing the videos she had taken when she heard a knock on her door. "Yes?"

The door opened revealing her father, "Ji Ah, hurry and come down."

"Why?" she asked.

"It's urgent." he replied then walked downstairs.

Ji Ah followed him after shutting down her laptop. When she reached the end of the stairs, she was surprised by her mother who brought the cake. Her parents then sang happy birthday to her while Ji Ah stood in the spot, smiling widely.

"I had forgotten it was my birthday today."

"Come on, make a wish." her mother said, bringing the cake towards her.

Ji Ah closed her eyes and wished, a wish she had for almost half a year. She then blew the candles while her father clapped his hands together in delight.

Later her parents gave her the presents they had for her. Yeon had also dropped off a gift for her. When she had opened it, she found a white dress. She smiled seeing it, Yeon had remembered her wish.

She then saw a different box, which was smaller compared to the dress box. "Who sent this?"

"Oh the courier dropped it off. He said it's from Hye Jin." her mother said remembering the man saying the sender's name. "She's your friend right?" she asked.

Ji Ah's eyes broadened when she heard Hye Jin's name. She picked up the box and opened it to reveal two butterfly pendants. She immediately recognised them as the ones from the glamorised (manipulated) memory, the one where Hye Jin gave as a present to Ji Ah.

There was a letter inside the box too. She excused herself and took the presents up to her room. She then sat on her bed with Hye Jin's present and the letter. She opened it and read—

Happy Birthday, Ji Ah!

Do you remember those pendants? How bizarre that I found the exact-looking ones? If you forgot, yours was the blue one while mine was purple. Let's wear them as a symbol of our crazy yet amazingly extraordinary life.

Hopefully when you read this letter we have gotten our happy ending. Where you and Yeon are planning to get married ;)

While Rang and I would have most probably started dating. And I would have already told you about the promise rings we had exchanged a few days before we had taken on the Imoogi!

Anyway, I won't take up your special day anymore, Yeon has most probably planned a whole day with you.

P.s. Maybe some things I mentioned didn't happen, like the happy ending we hoped for. But let's not lose hope, whatever that's wrong will be solved and THEN we will have our most deserved happy ending.

Love, Jinnie

Ji Ah gripped the letter to her chest and cried. She covered her mouth to muffle the sounds of her sobs so that her parents who were downstairs don't hear her.

"It's not a happy ending without you Hye Jin. You were supposed to be in this happy ending."

She took out the butterfly pendants from the box and held them in her hand, grazing her thumb over the purple butterfly.

She wore them both, hoping to keep Hye Jin closer to her. So that one day when she comes back, Ji Ah can give hers back, telling her about all the adventures she had with them.
