Harmony
‘Mum, Dad! Why won't you let me be in the Bard Coven?! Why would you name me Harmony and put me in Beastkeeping?!’ I was so angry. I had put up with Beastkeeping for long enough. Mum and Dad look at me and I wonder which will speak first. Dad does.
‘You must follow after your grandfather's footsteps, or else you're going to be disowned!’ he shouts at me. I storm off to my room. I know that the day of our sigils is really soon and I could always get a Bard sigil instead of a Beastkeeping one. I sit on my bed and plan out what I’ll do, when I look at the clock and realise I’m late for school!
I rush out of the house with my backpack, then Jazz follows me out. I hold out my hand and she turns into her staff form, then I get on her and rush to school.

Lili
I touchdown on the school grounds and shove my brothers off my palisman, Kermit de Phrog the third, of the mighty kingdom Froglandia (Kermit for short). Brayden, my eldest brother, vigorously rubs my head before running off to his first class. Tristan, my middle brother, has already disappeared. I push my glasses up and move a couple of strands of my light pink hair out of my face and I see the Head Healing teacher walking towards me. He has a panicked sort of look on his face, and he's walking very quickly.
‘Mr Cutburn, is something wrong?’ I ask once he is close enough to hear.
‘Yes actually’ he says to me. ‘Three more students are in the healing classroom, all unconscious with very severe injuries.’
‘Three more!? That makes seven this week!’ We start walking towards the classroom.
‘Yes, it's quite disturbing and we've tried almost everything but their condition hasn't changed.’ He sighs.
‘What can I do to help?’ I asked.
‘I was hoping you could monitor their condition today, while I see if the potions track could brew something to help with all this.’
‘Sure, I can do that’. I watch him walk away before heading into the classroom. I sit down and pull out my notebook.
‘Time to get to work’.

Avery I am pacing back and forth in my room thinking of so many things: should I ask out Thyme? Should I come out to my mum? When? How? My head is buzzing

Avery
I am pacing back and forth in my room thinking of so many things: should I ask out Thyme? Should I come out to my mum? When? How? My head is buzzing. I look over at my clock and snap out of my trance as I realise that I’m almost late for school. I grab my bag and call for Snowball, my Palisman. Before going out the door, I walk over to my mum, who is turned away from me, making food. I walk up to her, then chicken out at the last second. I need to stop doing this. I’ll have to tell her eventually. I walk out of the door and fly to school.
