I'm at the back of the healing classroom, monitoring the condition of several unconscious students. In the background, I can hear Mr Cutburn teaching the rest of the class, the sign I hung up earlier this week is partially visual, it reads; no limb reattachment before 10 AM. I'm checking Student #6 when Student #1 starts stirring. I rush over to her as she bolts up, screaming. The rest of the class turns my way, and Mr Cutburn stops speaking. I try to calm her down, but it's not working. She starts saying the same thing over and over with a panicked look on her face.
'Where is it, where is it?' She keeps frantically turning to look around the room like she's looking for something.
'What are you talking about? There's nothing here.' I say to her. She stops moving and looks at me then, as suddenly as she wakes up, she passes out again. Everyone is still looking at me, and the room is dead silent as I hear my Scroll ping. I slowly take it out of my pocket. It's a message from Harmony.
Can I stay over at your house for a bit?
Sure, I'll pick you up after school. Why tho?
She doesn't reply. The bell rings and the other students in my class start to pack up. I look at the girl again. She looks just like the rest of them, unconscious and still like nothing just happened. Mr Cutburn walks over to me.
'Are you okay?' he asks
'Yeah, I'm fine.' I smile at him. I understand his concern, I'm two years younger than all the others in my class, and I got pushed up a few grades because there wasn't anything they could teach me that I didn't already know.
'Okay, tell me if anything else happens.' He starts walking away. I pick up my books and shove them in my bag before heading out of the classroom to go find Harmony.
