Chapter 21: My heart flutters 두근거려

The fact that I'm still sleeping soundly in my room doesn't really affect the birds outside resting in their nest and chirping happily in a Monday morning. There's no one stopping them for waking someone up after that person have just experienced a long and interesting dream in her sleep. As much as I don't want to say it, that someone is me.

Yes, it was just a dream. 

I mean, the MT isn't because we really do need it for our last year here in our school, but the dream started when Baekhyun pulled me to the other rest house and doing some sort of crazy stuff like asking me for my answer if he ever had feelings for me.

I know I shouldn't be disappointed when Ms. Lee woke me up at the practice room and finding out that my best friend doesn't really have any interests in me. But I just couldn't pretend that it didn't affect me.

After our practice, it was dinner time already and Baekhyun just had to beat Jun Young for seating next to me. And the fact that he's giving me a lot of food doesn't help my situation with him. Really. I just want to yell at him for having this huge effect on me.

When it was time for our daily gathering, Baekhyun sang a song that made all the girls' hearts flutter.

And when I said 'all' I meant all.

It was kind of annoying, really, so I was more than grateful when it immediately ended after his performance, otherwise Jae Hee would've noticed me singing along lovingly and make me explain why.

We came back here to school the next day, my parents were having different appointments at that time and I couldn't have Yoon Ji to pick me up so I just hailed a taxi. I was about to close the door when a hand stopped me, then suddenly out of nowhere, Baekhyun entered the cab and closed the car door. I just stared in shock whilst he just gave me a glance and a smirk.

"Ya! Why are you here? You can just call your own taxi!" I smacked his shoulder but he just stick his tongue out.

"We ought to share a taxi together." He said.

Silence surrounded us and I couldn't help but to remember that dream I just had at that moment. It's as if something inside of me wants to say something to Baekhyun, but a part of me -the more smart side of me- wants me to shut up.

After that day I swore to myself that I will try my very best to not let this weird feeling get the best of me.

"NOONA!! WAKE UP! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE SCHOOL FESTIVAL!" San Beok yelled right in front of my ear, destroying my ear drums. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but this kid really knows how to join the birds in waking me up.

"꺼져. (Get lost.)" I threw a pillow at him intentionally, hoping he would get lost and leave me thinking about the dream I had.
