. . . . .

Cesar wouldn't have thought that they would be running away from a victim.

This was supposed to be easy. Cesar's next victim was a male human named Mark, who was Cesar's best friend ever since elementary school. Well, too bad Cesar was dead.

After all, this alternate had stolen Cesar's body and name. They had killed him and his mother, and took away their worthless lives. However, when an alternate encounters a victim and steals their identity, they receive important parts of their victim's memories so that their deceiving would be put to use. Apparently Mark was an obsessive little boy ever since he and Cesar had met. Not over just anything, only on little Cesar. After Cesar's abusive father had ran away from the county to escape from the police and charges, Mark's strange... possessive symptoms have become more developed. He was so protective, and had been extremely sensitive to anything that was around Cesar. Even when he was young, he was a strange little boy when being around Cesar, talking about Cesar, even thinking about Cesar.

The little boy, Cesar, had noticed Mark's weird behaviour, but didn't do anything about it or thought much of it, just merely unnerved at times. Especially when little Mark would push other kids over when they were just here to talk to Cesar about things that weren't even remotely harmful. This kind of action only got worse as Mark and Cesar grew up together in Mandela County, and when Mark was about to move out of his parent's house he suggested Cesar to move in with him and live together. By his side.

Forever.

"We're just friends, right? You won't leave me, right?" Mark's paranoid voice had rung out through the Alternate Cesar's ears. The alternate knew Mark had survived numerous encounters with other alternates and that TV man named Six, which seemed to make him develop an even stronger paranoia due to his M.A.D. But it seemed like he was especially paranoid when talking about Cesar's safety. Alt.Cesar was merely trying to make Mark come over to Cesar's house so that Alt. Cesar would follow Mark after.

But they knew right when they called Mark and how Mark responded that this victim would be more difficult and different.

"Hey, it's Cesar, I hope it's not too late..." Alt.Cesar said apologetically in Cesar's voice.

"Cesar!! Are you okay? Why did you call me? Are you hurt?? Who hurt you?!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, uh...." Alt.Cesar did not expect this from the strange human, and was initially confused. But they regained their composure and his voice and said again: "I'm not hurt, why do you ask?"

"I was worried about you!" Mark replied with a slight obsessive tone. "You didn't call me for a day straight! You scared me, Cesar. Are you sure nothing bad happened?"

"Uh, yeah of course," Alt.Cesar said, with slight concern in their voice. "I just called because I need you to do something for me."

"Anything for my little Cesar," Mark said. "What is it?"

"I'm on my way to the ER because uh... my mom was passed out cold, for some reason... Can you come over to my house and turn on the security cameras for me?"

"Alright, a strange request but I'll do it for you."

"Thanks man. By the way, try to get a good view of the back hallway."

Alt.Cesar quickly turned off the phone before their victim could say any more. The alternate was a bit unnerved when possessing these memories of the latest victim they killed. They couldn't help but feel pity for the boy, that Mark could have been in a better situation. But no matter. He was going to die soon. And Alt.Cesar wouldn't even care.
