People live in a dystopia where only feelings of happiness is accepted. They are commonly known as the Euphoric. Any other negative feelings will turn people's eyes red, and they are immediately identified, pulled out of society, and executed on public. They are known as the Miserables. People can stay happy however method they want, as long as they stay happy: whether it be spending time with family, favorite hobbies, or thrilling crimes. Their freedom of memories are restricted save for the memories of happy times they had: they do not know most of them are alternates due to the mutation.
The setting is a huge cyber city inside a giant ship. Like the movie Interstellar, the ground and the cities people walk on is curled around the inside of the cylinder shaped spaceship. Due to the government spilling nuclear waste accidentally into Earth's waters, people turned mutated and became alternates. This grants them the supernatural ability of strength, shapeshift, and invulnerability, and the government covers this up by making this a seemingly dangerous disease known as the "Metaphysical Paranormal Illness Disease (MPID)." After that, the government made the humans leave the earth for "the sun has become dangerous and toxic, therefore made earth uninhabitable." This also gives the strength of abling to carry M.A.D. without getting affected. M.A.D. in this world is where people feel unhappy, and they start to realize the Truth of the world they live in. When they realize the Truth, they will be executed immediately like the Miserables will be.
Cesar saw Adam getting arrested for being a Miserable, and he saves his life by putting himself in front of the Euphoric Soldiers and Police (or ESAP). Cesar's right side of his face gets shot and gets slightly grazed, and Adam, carrying the unconscious being, runs off and manages to survive. Later, when Cesar is awake, Adam and Cesar become close to each other and becomes friends. Adam sees a red rose brooch that Cesar always wore and asks about it, and he said it contained real happiness. Adam does not believe him.
Later on, they decided to make a game of analog horror and rpg 8-bit game, with a bit of meta, to spread the awareness that they live in a dystopian society. They create the world of Mandela Catalogue in it, making Six the meta character, and sends it out into the population of their kin, both the Euphoric and the Miserables. The game is successful, but not towards the awareness part. Six, starting to hate adam and cesar for making him aware (and for something else he did not account to tell them for), pulls them in the game, and Adam and Cesar are left to wander in the game for a few years.
Later on, Cesar forgets about their past, and the history of his red rose brooch. Adam and Six are the only ones who are aware of the Truth, and Six and Adam gains friendship, and a father/son relationship over the years. Later on, when Adam made Cesar remember the Truth in a much more forceful and argumentative way, resulting in a slight tilt in their friendship, both of them are teleported outside with the help of Six. Adam promises every character in this game to free them from the game and send them into reality, where they can help him make a new world again.
They do a rebellion where they shapeshift into making people fear them and a constant disguise to hide themselves in the crowd. Cesar and Adam separate, but not before Cesar handing Adam his rose brooch as a sign that he was always next to Adam. As Cesar inflicts everyone with M.A.D. after taking control of the security cameras and speakers, Adam discovers the history behind of their society and how it came to be: the nuclear waste, the mutation, why humans left earth. After some shock, he regains composure, and Adam walks into where the government socials live in. There is only one person:
The one and only Six.
Six made Adam unconsciously create him purposefully as a meta character in the game, and purposefully tried to trap both of the Miserables in the game so they would be no trouble in disappearance. Therefore, Six and Adam have an emotional fight. When Six gains the higher ground and Adam was about to give up, he does not attack. He only embraces his son figure and tells him how he was so tired of being a dictator, leading a whole population he had to control all by himself. Adam and Six forgive just as Cesar is killed in the CCTV room.
Adam is very disheartened when he enters the room where Cesar lies dead, and is very sad. But he must do the rest for Cesar. So together, with the great intelligence and help of Six, they bring out the characters into the real world, and years later, they are seen in an exoplanet, habitable like Earth. Two suns rise up into the horizons and the characters watch the sunrise in awe and beauty. Adam clutches the rose brooch that Cesar always had on his suit: He will cherish him in memory forever.
