I requested this myself because I had an idea in my head I couldn't get out, so I merged it with the Mandela Catalogue and now here it is.

. . . . .

Adam Murray and Cesar Torres were besties.

Nothing could separate them no matter what. Many would think that alternates couldn't befriend anything or anyone, but no, they are wrong. Both of them were alternates who knew each other so well they may as well be living next to each other in rooms of clear glass. Adam had a black zip-up hoodie that said the words BPS: an organization that existed in this world of Mandela County. He wore ripped jeans and black tennis shoes. He was a fair-skinned individual with curly, straw-like blond hair. His facial expressions of neutrality looked cold and distant to reality, his slouching posture unintimidating but still radiated a cold aura regardless.

Cesar was completely the opposite. He radiated an aura of warmth, and kindness. His brown hair, along with his tan skin, and smiling face. His posture was straight and proud, and welcoming and charming. He wore formal clothing, his favorite being the black tuxedo with a white undershirt, a red bowtie and a red rose brooch pinned on the left of his jacket. He wore black dress shoes most of the times, but every once in a while he would wear athletic shoes wither the color of black or white.

Their personality contrasted greatly too. Adam was a cold, distant individual, like how he looked like from the outer, and was impatient and had anger issues when being impatient. He shut himself from other people and was only kind to people he was close to, which in this case was Cesar. Cesar was a welcoming person, kind to mostly everyone when he could and was an outwardly warm individual. He had great manners and charisma, which why while Adam had not many friends around him, Cesar had many friends he could rely on.

Despite their contrasting differences they went along the most out of all the friends they had. Strange, is it not? The only similarity was that they had blood red irises for color of their eyes, an indication that they were Alternates. Cesar even let Adam borrow his prized possession, the rose brooch, when he needed to. Interestingly, while Adam was chill about other people needing to use his items, Cesar was not and was unwilling in case anything bad happened to his things. Especially his rose brooch. Possibly because his brooch could transform into a small knife-like weapon. Who knows.

These two were a leader of a rebellion against their false god, and their false creator, Lord Alternate Gabriel. The false angel who started all this in the first place. Case in point, they were facing him when he summoned more alternates to fight for him. They were alternates they used to be so close to: Preacher, N, and the faceless lady of the third type alternate. Cesar remembered for her name to be Deborah Martinez, the name after the victim she killed. They used to be friends, where they laughed together and ate together...

But now, different points of view have separated them.

Cesar successfully stabbed N in the eye, and Deborah tried to catch him, but both ended up on the floor, bleeding inky black blood. They were helpless. Now was the chance. It hurt for Cesar to kill them this way, but freedom came first. He hoped he was right.

Tears welled in his brown eyes. "I'm sorry, N and Deb," he said, raising his knife, "But I'm doing what I believe is right."

But when Cesar was about to strike Preacher intercepted, stopping both of them and raising her arms to protect the fatal blow.

Cesar stood in front of the soldiers protectively over Adam, arms raised, yelling at them to stop.

Cesar gasped and staggered back. What was that??

"Stop!" Cesar shouted at them. "Get away from him!"

Cesar clutched his head.

"What's wrong, Ces?" Adam yelled, running over to his friend, while the rest watched the scene unfold, one with glee, and the other confusion.
