. . . . .

Adam felt bad for the past days that passed. Obviously. He didn't want to feel this way, but he couldn't help but be ashamed for how badly he talked to Jonah. He was the only friend he had after all, other than Noah and Tyler. (Amanda did not count. She was a bitch.) But Jonah...

He had been in his room for days. No eating, drinking, sleeping. Adam dared to not enter his room. Sometimes it seemed like Jonah wasn't even in his room. Sometimes he heard the boy cry.

Sigh. Alright. Fine. He had to go apologize.

Adam walked into the front door and locked it. He saw that nothing had been following them so he assumed he would be fine.

The trailer had two small bedrooms and one bathroom with a living room and kitchen conjoined together. So it wasn't really hard to find where Jonah would be. He was likely in his bedroom or the bathroom, sulking how selfish Adam was. Which he didn't want to admit, but was true.

He checked the bathrooms first. No one there. Adam suddenly felt a terrible feeling in his gut, like something bad was about to happen. He didn't know what: after all, he was an alternate-

Oh shit. He forgot to tell Jonah about that.

Adam opened the bedroom door to Jonah's room and peeked in. "Hey Jonah, look... I have something to tell y-"

Adam stopped abruptly in his sentence, his brain unabling to recognize the things he was seeing.

Jonah standing on a chair.

A necklace of rope on his neck.

His crying face,

then Adam suddenly knew what to do.

He can't let that happen!

Jonah kicked the chair.

"NO!!! JONAH!!!"

Adam visibly paled as the rope on Jonah's neck tightened around him and he started to grimace as he struggled to breathe. His hands instinctively scrabbling to get the rope off, feet and legs swinging to try to escape the situation he put himself in.

No.

Adam knew very well HE put Jonah in this position.

He snapped out of his panicked daze and ran over to Jonah, who had his lips starting to flush blue. Adam took out a pocket knife and flipped it open, and set the fallen chair back up.

"Leave-ack-me-be!!" Jonah choked out.

"NO! HANG IN THERE!!"

Adam didn't listen. He won't do something he would soon to regret again. He started to saw through the rope, and after a while, it finally cut free. Jonah fell forward, towards Adam, and Adam stumbled on the chair, and fell backwards, hard on his shoulders and back ribs. A sickeningly loud cracks could be heard, and Adam screamed. Something sharp and hard hit Adam's right eye, making his visions turn red and fading in to black. He struggled to stay awake, in fear of Jonah possibly killing himself again, but his mind was scattered and foggy from falling back on his head also, and the pain made him succumb to the darkness.
