Saturday

Saturday. It is a Saturday morning and Estella is sitting in her moms car at 9 in the morning to watch her brother play. 20 minutes ago she was sleeping and now she's in the car with her family listening to her dad go on and on about how her brother should make x2 as many goals as last time. Did she mention it was a Saturday?

Estella hated hockey. It's not that she hated the sport but she hated how long it took. For as long as she could remember she would spend her Saturdays here while her brother played and she watched. She never found it interesting to say the least. So here she sits again in the cold rink wrapped in her hawks hoodie and a big blanket drinking something that she hoped was hot chocolate. Her mother sat on her right with her father on her left both parents talking with the others while the boys warmed up. Hearing familiar voices Estella looked over her shoulder to see Margot and Jenny enter with Jenny's brothers running around and her parents trying to get them back into their coats. Margot waved at Estella and ran down to her with Jenny not far behind.

Estella jumped from her seat and ran to her friends. The girls quickly found seats by their parents and sat down snuggling under the blanket Estella brought to stay warm. "WIN WIN WIN WIN" was heard throughout the entire rink signaling that the game was about to start. None of the 3 girls were interested in hockey but more of some of the cute boys on the team. Margot had her eyes on one specific boy but she would never say it out loud, although all the girls knew who it was. After about 5 minutes the opposite team skated onto the rink, wearing mismatched uniforms and egg cartons as pads. The girls couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous looking team and could you possibly blame them. The girls never would admit it to themselves but they knew what money could do and they were very glad they didn't look like that.

About 1 hour later the hawks won. Estella was glad the game was over to say the least. She was very proud of her brother and the goals he scored for his team. She would never admit it out loud but she was jealous her brother had such a big group of friends that bonded over a sport. Standing up the 3 girls hugged each other goodbye while Estellas  parents went to go grab the car from the busy parking lot. Walking down the stairs to the locker room Estella waited for her brother to give him a hug and whisk him to the warm car so she could go home.

"I swear Katie Simpson likes me Adam. She's the hottest girl in the grade and I told her yesterday I'm seeing another woman and when she asked who I told her it was Alex's older sister. She looked at me like I was lying about it." Said Aidan as he changed into a fresh shirt in the locker room. Looking at his best friend with a horrified face Alex put his hand over Aidans mouth signaling him to-be quiet. "Dude you cannot tell anyone that you are dating my sister. She's doesn't even like you and Katie Simpson has a huge mouth. Tell her you were joking because if you think my sister hates you now..." answered the boy while making sure no one was listening.

Adam sat on the bench pondering the conversation over in his head wondering where in there he brought up the subject that would most definitely come back around. Sighing the boy put his bag on his shoulder and walked out to his car. When he turned back round he saw Margot staring at him and that made him blush. He definitely would need to tell his friends when he got home.
