*Val POV*
I scowled as soon as I realised it was him. "Why hello! I don't think you know how happy it makes me seeing you in pain and struggling!" He laughs. "What's in it for you?!" I snarl, angry that it happened to be him who came. I guess it makes sense. This is most likely an abounded house. He shrugs. "Nothin' much. Just getting revenge" he grins, before turning and walking away. I scowl as a tear rolls down my cheek. I jump as I hear snarling from the room next door. That's when it all came back to me. The mission we did 3months ago. The dead men, The monster hunters and Tanith, all went to investigate this vampire house. Vampire house. Yeah, I am in a vampire house. 'Well, this can't get any better' I thought, grimly. As soon as I figure out how to disable these handcuffs I'm coming out Darquesse growled, frustrated. I sighed. I'd wondered what had happened to her. Another smack against the wall, gets me worried. What if they break out? I muse. I stop pondering when I hear three sharp knocks on the door. It didn't sound like bone, so it's not skulduggery. I saw Caelan slowly walk up to the door and peer through the eye hole. Something must have scared him because he jumps back in horror. My questioning is short lived as the door is punched down, slamming into the wall. I stare in horror as I see lord Vile round walk through the door. He gazes into my room and his eyes lock with mine. I stay silent, knowing I would probably die. He stares at me for a minute before moving on. I almost faint at the relieve. Why didn't he kill me? And how did he get out! I scream, in my head. I squeal as a vampire is thrown through the wall, into my room. It bares its teeth at me and sprints at me. Before it reached me and tendril of shadow whips out and pierces its stomach. Lord vile calmly walls through the wall and breaks the vampires neck. By now I'm ridiculously pale. He saved me? Why? I hear guttural snarls and growls as lord vile fights off all the vampires. While he's distracted, Caelan runs in and untied me, taking me quickly outside. I try to scream but he covers my mouth. I eventually faint from the lack of air...
