*Val POV*

"It's raining!"
"Yes. I noticed Valkyrie."
I ignored him and ran to the window.
I'd missed the rain.
We were currently stuck in Australia, in a place where it rarely rained, and coming from Ireland, it was certainly a change.
Turning back around, I was disappointed to see skulduggery wasn't as excited as me. I pouted, walking over to him and grabbing his arm. "Come on, I have something to show you." I smiled, as the rain got louder on the roof.
It sounded like tin soldiers.
Skulduggery sighed, but let me grab his hand and take him to the front door, grabbing the umbrellas. I handed him one absentmindedly, focused on the rain.
"I'm sorry, if rather go without one." He whined, as I whipped my head to see him holding the umbrella by a thumb and forefinger. "I don't do rainbow." He stated, sulking I would give him the rainbow one and I keep the black one. I sighed, rolling my eyes and switched them.

Opening the door I dragged him out much to his protesting, as we stood there, in the rain.
"Um.. What are we doing?" He asked over the thundering rain. I laughed, throwing my hand back and throwing the umbrella down.
And I started dancing.
He watched silently as I twirled and leapt and bounded, splashing in forming puddles and getting soaked.
Then I couldn't feel the rain.
Opening my eyes, hopefully and luckily without becoming blind from the rain, I saw an umbrella held over my head. Skul was standing next to me now, his head tilted in a smile. "You'll get a cold from all that dancing in the rain, Miss Cain." He grinned, as I laughed grinning as well.
"Come dance with me!" I cheered.
He hesitated, before Skulduggery pleasant shrugged, dropping his umbrella and grabbed my hands, turning my galavanting into an elegant waltz.
And we waltzed in the rain.
