The girl admired Riya. She wanted to be her. She felt that if she was Riya instead, maybe life would be easier for her. She had an eye opening conversation with her friend. For the first time, she stepped into her school's library. She bee lined towards the biography section. She had always been fond of the lives of people who contributed something to the world, and now she had a place to go to read it all. The first book that caught her attention was the autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam, Wings Of Fire. Excited by her finding, she borrowed the book from the library and finished it in two days. It was as if the book changed her. She then read ignited minds, another book in the renowned section. "The ignited minds of the youth is the most powerful resource on the Earth." The quote was the one thing that stood out the most to her. It was as if a fire of desire was ignited in her. Now, she was ready to face it all. In preparation for her big battle, she worked hard and toiled day and night. Her improvement was slow but steady, and in no time, she was the part of the top 5 of the school. The next day was the beginning of her finals. Time went by, and it was the result day. Like always, she started by looking for her name from the bottom. Her anxiety was eating her out and she felt as if she would burst any moment. She looked up, and as if a huge meteor struck her, she finally saw her name, on the very top of the board replacing Riya. As she jumped out of happiness, there is one thing that she figured out very well. "Ignited minds inspire others" Just like Riya, the smart girl who inspired her to be competitive once again, and APJ Abdul Kalam, to do her best because without ignited minds the world would lose it's spark .
