Deep inside the Great Tomb of Nazarick, on the 8th floor stood a magnificent sanctuary. The Cherry blossom sanctuary truly did justice to its name, as the flowers blooming there never withered away.

This specific area was tightly guarded, so much so that the leader of the Pleiades, Aureole Omega herself watched over the place. There was a good reason for this, as this area normally housed the guild weapon, the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Although, it hadn't been returned to its designated place, but Aureole didn't mind that. It was a weapon meant to be wielded by the guild master, so it was only right that he carries it. Still, she couldn't help but sigh, as she missed the sight of the magnificent golden instrument, floating gently above the pacific lake and the many cherry blossom petals.

Her eyes were drawn to the elf before her, "Ellee, was it?" She was a guest of the Supreme One, though if the rumors were to be believed then she was much more than that, Aureole would get to the bottom of this.

"Right."

"So, tell me, how did you meet Ainz Ooal Gown?"

Evileye garbed in a crimson cloth and a white mask obscuring her vampiric features hurried through the streets of E-Rantel. But she wasn't alone. There was terror written on the faces of commonfolk as everyone either froze in place, ran, or hid in hopes of escaping what was coming.

The skies have been chaotic for as long as most could remember, but today something unprecedented occurred. The battered skies finally gave out under the pressure, and shattered into brilliant specks of light, leaving only darkness above, darkness that continued to close in on the ground below.

People feared the darkness, they feared the unknown. For they knew the darkness was crawling with terrible entities, they just didn't know how many, or how strong. What they knew was that in the coming days most would perish, a fate worse than death would befall them. To escape such an end there were numerous suicides, those who couldn't bear to face the horror that was to come, they ended their lives.

Evileye was on her way to her comrades of Blue rose, when suddenly she came to an abrupt halt. It wasn't intentional however, as she felt her feet rooted into the ground. She could feel her cold body frozen in place, refusing to move, as if to play dead. Such a sigh greeted her that her body had decided instead of her what the only way of survival was... and that was to play dead.

Before her very eyes something moved within the darkness... a long body coiled around and about as it became thicker and thicker. Its scales roared as they scraped against each other. Then, a lighting spread out in the darkness, illuminating the beast within.

A giant snake. One whose size was unimaginable, with its absurd body proportions it blotted out even the darkness, as its huge form coiled around, ready to launch and devour the world.

Evileye staggered as she willed herself to move, she had to... she had to get the others and escape. There was no hope left for mankind. Not in this damned country anyways.

...

Jircniv, ruler of the United Holy Empire waited impatiently inside his royal carriage.

They were at the last check up before going inside the capital city, and even though he had sent a message detailing his business with the elven ruler, it seemed as though he were treated as simple commonfolk. Certainly not in a way royalty should be handled.

"Incompetent elves, what the hell is taking so long?!" Jircniv finally had enough and got off his carriage only to feel an ominous chill. He had an enchanted coat that should've negated such alignments, but... — his eyes strayed to the sky, and then, he understood.
