III: A villain attack

The sun has risen, indicating the start of a new day. The sound of Sora's phone alarm could be heard in the distance. Soon enough, Sora finally opened her eyes and let out a groan. She absolutely hated waking up early, but today she needed to help her new friend to get legal permission to live in Japan. So, she turned off her alarm clock, got up, quickly changed her clothes and went to wake Xiao up.
Xiao has had nightmares in his sleep due to his karmic debt, he wished one day it would disappear for good. So, of course, he stayed up all night. When he heard someone knock on his door, he loudly groaned, despite knowing it was Sora who was outside the room. He opened the door to reveal her already dressed up to leave the house. He raised one of his eyebrows in confusion.

" Why are you dressed like that? Are we supposed to leave the house today? "
" Why, indeed! In this country, you need to get legal permission to become a citizen, and you still don't have it. Please, change into an appropriate outfit and come down to the kitchen. I'll prepare food. "

After Sora was out of sight, he closed the door and went to the closet to pick his clothes. His eyebrows furrowed at the thought of having to socialize with strangers, but as long as Sora is there, he would be fine...maybe.
He went to the bathroom and quickly changed. He exited his room and met Sora in the kitchen. They both exchanged friendly smiles and went to the small table in the kitchen and sat across it. There was already food placed for breakfast, so Xiao proceeded to start eating. But before he could take a bite, a hand with a small strange bottle reached his sight. He looked up to see her with it. She wanted to hand it to him.

" I saw how tired you were earlier today, so I thought these painkillers would help you. I know you had nightmares last night, I heard your heavy breathing. "
" ...I'm sorry for disturbing you. I promise it won't happen again- "
" Your nightmares are not your fault. Never apologize for something you can't control. "
" ... "

The adepti silently took the bottle and consumed a couple of pills as was written on it. Sora's face softened after, so she gave him a cup of water for the pills. He drank it, and after some time later the two continued where they left off with their breakfast.
A few moments later, the two were at the front door of their house. Sora closed the gates and gestured for him to follow her. When they both reached their destination, a police officer greeted them.

" How may I help you two on this fine day? "
" I need to get my friend legal permission to become a citizen! He's new to this country. "

Sora pointed at her friend as she exclaimed. The officer nodded and told them to follow him. Xiao was a little bit confused and nervous.

" Uhm...Sora? Who is he? "

He whispered in her ear, as she turned to him and whispered back:

" He is a police officer, he is one of the people responsible for the safety of the citizens. I'll tell you more later. "

The yaksha nodded, as he stayed silent for the rest of the walk. When they reached the officer's office room, he opened the door and allowed them to come in first.
