Unexpected Adventure

XXII: First meet (Part 1)

A few hours have passed since Mallory has visited Toga and talked with her for a while, and the medics have started to notice a strange change in her attitude towards them. Before that moment she was acting quite rebellious and aggressive towards them, but now that she knew she had help, she slowly started acting like her past self again. The elders have informed the pro heroes about this, of course, but they did it at such a wrong timing.

One of the medics has left Mallory in charge once they left to give principal Nezu new reports about Toga's condition, which meant it was the perfect timing for his plan. Mallory quickly went to the same room where his friend was located and unlocked the door. Toga was caught off guard when she heard the lock open, so she stood up and waited for a moment until she realized this was her chance to finally escape. Once she exited the room, her eyes met Mallory's, the two of them sharing a quick stare at each other before Mallory blinked and turned to the exit.

" You go, I'll take care of the cameras. "
" Then what? What if they find out you're responsible for my escape? "
" They won't. I have a plan, but I'll need you to cooperate with me or else it won't work. "
" What's the plan? "
" I'll need to pretend like you have gotten another chance to escape and attacked me. Don't worry, I'll make sure they don't capture you again as a thank you. "
" Hmph. Fine, only because I know you won't disappoint me. "
" Good! Now go. We don't have time to waste. "

Toga nodded as she exited the section, a sinister smile on her face as she giggled under her breath. Mallory then quickly contacted Kurogiri to get Toga back to the base, to which the other had obeyed his request and opened the portal for the female teenager leasing back where she belonged. Mallory then immediately turned to the computer and hacked its systems to get rid of the footage. Once he got access, he began the deletion operation. It didn't take long as there was not much camera footage to get rid of, but it was still a little bit risky considering the medics could've returned anytime and could've caught Mallory, which led him to a "Game Over". He sighed in relief as he erased his login history and turned off the computer. He then proceeded to prepare for his acting. He messed with his hair, partially took off his doctor coat and abjected his face a little to match his "look". He then laid on the ground and pretended to be hurt from being "punched".
The medics have returned but we're met with a strange scene: Mallory was laying on the ground, seemingly hurt, and the door to Toga's room was unlocked. The head medic rushed to his aid and helped him get up as Mallory kept pretending to feel pain. He groaned and rubbed the upper part of his stomach as he heard someone call him to get attention. He was actually surprised to see the medic, must've been because he zoned out for a second. He quickly shook his head and eyed the doctor holding his shoulders and asking him many questions:

" Mr. Funji, are you alright??? Where's Toga Himiko? Did she escape?! "
" Sh-she...did... "

Most of them gasped at Mallory's response, including the head doctor. He then picked Mallory up and ordered the others to warn the heroes about the situation so they could start looking for her, while the leader himself could properly heal Mallory.

Meanwhile, the pro heroes were dealing with the reports given by the medics about Toga's strange change in behavior from earlier. Xiao was not included among the pro heroes, however, as he "wasn't suited for matters like these", as the elders would say.

" What do you think happened to her to cause such change so quickly? I mean, she's a big deal and she's dangerous, so there's no way she could've simply returned to her original self overnight, right?- "
" Sir, sir! We've got a huge problem! "
