Morning. That's when the sun rises, indicating the start of a new day. The sky was painted a soft hue of gold and pink, a little bit of blue was present, too. The sunlight was peaking through the window into the dorm room, showering it in golden yellow color. Today was Saturday, some people favor this day of the week more than any other, some don't. It was quiet, but it wasn't awkwardly quiet, no. The absence of any unnecessary noises was rather comforting. Especially for Xiao. The only thing heard here was the sound of birds talking to one another from a distance, but nothing more.
Although there were nightmares throughout the night, overall it was good to have a nap, even despite naturally having no need to.Xiao opened his eyes slightly and rolled to the other side. Once he looked at the window, his face softened. The sky was beautiful, deep down he knew that even he wouldn't deny it. He blinked a few times, a not so loud yawn escaped his lips. He stretched his arms and legs before moving his body out of the oh so comfortable bed. He grabbed his clothes and entered the bathroom, closing the door in the process. He didn't take much time to change, a minute or two have passed. Before he exited the bathroom, he looked at the mirror. He couldn't help but feel like he wasn't looking at himself. His reflection wore his mask, blood on his original clothes, as a dark karmic aura surrounded his figure. All of that reminded him of those times.
" Tch, that's not who you are now. You're a goddamn hero, get over it. "
The adepti scolded himself harshly. He groaned when the reflection didn't change. He stormed out of the dorm room entirely, disgusted at himself. He was so irritated, he didn't even notice who he bumped into. He fell on his back, gasping as he looked up.
" Watch where you're goin', extra-
...
Oh, it's you. "
" ... "Bakugou offered him a hand to help him get up, to which he declined. He got up and fixed his clothes, getting rid of any dirt that got on them. His face expression still hasn't changed, by then Bakugou would definitely notice.
" You alright? "
" I'm fine. "
" ... "
" ... "
" Ugh, fine! Just don't come crying to me when you change your mind or something. "
" Whatever. "A small moment of silence between the two before Xiao spoke again:
" Anyways, heard about the pool party tonight? "
" Yeah, and I assume you're coming, too? "
" Yeah. Our classmates arranged a shopping spree before the party so we could get what we needed, I had to join because I need those outfits as well. "
" That sucks, they have the worst choice of clothing, by the way. "
" Who said I'm letting them choose my outfits? "
" Oh- Pfffft- "Bakugou tried his best to surpass the laughter, while his friend was staring at him unamused.
" Tch. You're lucky we're alone here, people would find you weird. "
" Shut the fuck up, will you? "The yaksha rolled his eyes and left the dormitory. He started walking towards the school entrance, before he could reach it, however, he was stopped by All Might and Aizawa, who were discussing something about him.
" Ah, Young Alatus, there you are! We need you for a second. "
" Hm? Uh, sure I guess. "Xiao quietly sighed before he turned around and started walking towards them instead. The teachers motioned for him to follow them, he knew it was something important if they had to move inside. They reached Nezu's office and Aizawa moved closer to knock on the door. Nezu, of course, answered and permitted them to come in. Xiao sat on one of the chairs while the teachers chose not to. The principal hesitated at first, but decided it would be better just to say it now.
