INOYA
A tiny girl spread her fingers and flapped her arms. "I'll fly like a butterfly when I get my wings! I will fly faster than both of you" The girl exclaimed looking at two older people.
The little girl's white wisps of hair were in pigtails. She had eyes of two colors: Bright blue and golden hazel. She had not sprouted wings yet.
The two others looked like her parents: A strongly built male with brown hair and amber eyes and a tall, poise woman with strawberry blonde hair with tiger iron-colored eyes.
They looked really happy with their daughter. They wrapped their arms around each other and watched the child from behind.
The scene changed.
The girl is a bit more older. She had sprouted wings. Black wings. She looked at her parent's worried faces. "Mom, Dad? Will I be sent out for having these wings?" She feebly asked. Her innocent face shone in the light.
The mother started to cry, the father turned away.
Why is the mother crying? What's wrong with black wings? I screamed. But it was no use.
The scene shifted again.
The parents were having a discussion. "We can't keep her in this kingdom, Said the father. "HOW COULD YOU!?" teared the mother. "We swore to protect her first, then the kingdom." She said. "Because of one person, this entire kingdom will fall. The myths are true. They will happen. Black wings are a bad omen. I do not want to see this kingdom turn to dust." barked the dad. "I will never let you hurt my daughter." Glowered the mother. She balled her fists.
The scene shifted.
Wait! I yelped. What happens after their disagreement? I need to know!
My surroundings took form: We were outside. There were two identical palaces, like a mirror. Guards stood in two parallel lines, facing each other.
The ground shook. The sky turned black. I was falling, plunging deeper into darkness. A ghostly voice seemed to giggle. I heard it all around me.
"Make it stop" I shrieked "Please, make it stop!" I pleaded. The giggling got louder. I saw light as I dropped down. "Help me!" I trembled. I opened my wings and flapped hard. Nothing seemed to make me stop tumbling down.
"Inoya!" Ishimi was shaking me. My eyes flung open. It was a nightmare. I cried into Ishimi's shirt. "Make it stop, please Ishimi." I sobbed. I could still hear the giggles echoing in my ears.
He stroked my head soothingly. My cries turned into little sobs. He dried my tears and wrapped me in a blanket of mud. It was really cozy.
Ishimi's brown eyes found mine. He offered some warm food. I accepted it with a gentle nod.
Ishimi came closer. "You see that young boy there?" He pointed towards a mud bed. Surely, there was a guy sitting there. "He helped me save you. "
He looked like 15 or 16. I walked over, his facial features more clear now. He had midnight blue hair with deep grey eyes filled with warm sympathy, a kind of defined jawline, and a faux hawk hairdo.
"You- saved me, right?" I asked. I tried to remember any tiny detail. The glowing white thing was beside him. It was him. "That was you? It scared me" I stumbled back. "I have a bad memory," I said pointing to myself. "It's cool." He smiled.
I turned around to have my breakfast. "Where are you taking her?" The guy asked Ishimi. "I can only state that once you prove yourself worthy." He replied.
Ishimi looked over at me. He wanted me to decide. I thought for a while. I did not realize I was staring blankly at the walls. I turned around to judge him and he was taken aback. He really had sympathizing eyes, different from Ishimi's. I feel like I could rely on him.
I gave him a warm smile. "Ishimi, we can trust him," I spoke at random after staring into his complex eyes. Ishimi with that note started "Alright then. We are headed to-" He could not finish his sentence. Some dog took him away at the speed of sound.
"Ishimi!!" I burst. "Guy with blue hair, er-" I looked at him. "Yukitaro" He pointed out. "Right. Help me save my caretaker!"
He was already on this glowing animal. He lend a hand and I took it. I hopped on the animal and we took off. I happened to be sitting in front of him. The animal rode out to the green pastures.
Yukitaro handed me the reins and fiddled with his hands for a while and poured some water into a flask. "That's for later" He explained.
He kept one arm on my shoulder and the other on the reins. We spotted Ishimi. He appeared to be unharmed. The dog turned towards us. Its bark was so loud the animal we were riding disintegrated. I found myself on the ground. Well, this sucked.
