YUKITARO

Ishimi stared at his feet, ashamed and embarrassed. He glanced at the emerald-eyed woman "Mother, I've committed a mistake. Please lend me your help."  He begged. She looked around and pointed at four spots. "My children have heard your plea. Return with the concealed devil, dead or alive."

From the pointed spots, four children around 12 walked out, one girl and three boys. "Brother Ishimi, it has been a long time since we met." The girl bowed, her brown hair streamed down. The others followed her. "Raise your head, Emari. You don't have to do that anymore." Ishimi stood up. He walked outside with the youngsters at his heels.

They brought a chariot and readied it with swords, arrows, mud, and first aid kits. They then sat in a circle facing away from each other. They placed their palms on the grass and spread their fingers. "She weighs lighter than Troy-" Ishimi began. "What! Lighter than Troy? Is that even possible? I thought She is fourteen." A kid exclaimed. The dude had identical eyes to Ishimi but he had sandy hair instead of brunette. "Lizan not now." The girl named Emari shushed him. "and might be running as fast as sound," Ishimi continued. They concentrated for a while.

"I found her!" A kid raised a hand. He was the only one that doesn't have the same eyes or hair as the others. He was a frail-looking child with sky-blue hair and solid black eyes. "She is running in the alleyways, northern side of living quarters. We can reach her shortly." He reported.

"Great job, Kyo!" Ishimi seemed proud. The rest patted his back. "We will head off now. Everyone in the chariot. You kids steer it while I make a plan." He commanded.

We head off to the north. We got to the place where Kyo detected Inoya. A red mass sprawled on the ground, white hair spread around it. Someone was sitting in the shadows. He appeared to be resting. Crimson footsteps were traced from Inoya to him. Inoya's feather blade was laid beside him. He was hit by her and was recollecting himself.

The kids were told to take care of the stranger. They positioned themselves, two on the right and two on the left of the kidnapper, all armed with mud or stone. Ishimi and I hurried to Inoya's side. We turned her over, so now she faced the sky. She had two needles on her left shoulder and an arrow in her stomach and wings.

I took the needles out while Ishimi worked on the arrows. In his kit was surgeon's equipment, and he got to work. I concentrated on her veins. I could see the poison spreading like a lethal wildfire. I willed it to stop. With head-splitting hard work, I collected the poison into a flask.

Her veins were swollen resulting in numbing of her lower body and I cannot do anything about it. I streamed the blood spilled on the ground. I was successfully able to replace it to her body.

After all that work, I felt like I was battered to death. Ishimi took a needle and thread, sewed her stomach and wing, then patted his forehead with his sleeve. She looked at peace except for the fact that her shirt was soaked in blood. Unfortunately, her adorable coat was missing. Ishimi scooped her and placed the youth in the chariot.

The 12-year-olds buried the enemy and mourn his death. How that is not illegal I do not know. They got in the chariot and returned to Ishimi's family home. When we got there, maids in their 20s came and took Inoya away to one of the five hallways.

Ishimi patted each of the four kids and complimented them. "Thank you, Yukitaro. I am truly grateful to you for saving Inoya. Rest easy now. Just follow them and they will show you to a room. My home is your home." He patted my back and left along with the maids while I was taken by the kids to another chamber.
