"Then leave after you finish the death certificate", I snapped. That's when I saw his eyes widen at my response, "No one is tying you down here from what I know. Just leave"
Suddenly I heard a constant car horn go off coming from the front of the hospital, outside. I turned to the window in Beomgyu's office and pushed Beomgyu out of the way before approaching the window to see what was happening.
A black car crashed into another parked blue car. It seems like a minor car accident but what was alarming was that the black car had more damage than the car parked.
It seemed like the black car was in an accident before coming here and getting into another car accident. The windows were smashed in, headlights were smashed, and dents in the back and front of the car.
How is this car even working at this rate?
I turned around to run out of the door but accidentally bumped my head into Beomgyu's chest as I didn't know he was behind me.
"Geez, my forehead", I said, massaging my forehead. I pushed Beomgyu out of my way and ran out of the hospital where the car was, and I already saw Miss Jeon and other nurses around the vehicle and checked on the patient inside the driver's seat.
I approached Miss Jeon, who was on the driver's side, trying to see if he was conscious or not. The patient leaned on the steering wheel, which explains the horn noise.
I reached in and made the patient lean back onto the seat, and that's when I saw that he was bleeding from his head. I checked for a pulse, and there was a strong pulse. I took the penlight and checked for a light reflex, and there was. Good, that means he is still alive, and his brain works.
"Neck support," I said as I put out my hand, still looking at the patient. A nurse hands me the neck support and puts it on him. I looked at Miss Jeon. "Let's move him to the ER."
The nurses and I took the patient in, and immediately I started to check to breathe using a stethoscope.
"He still seems conscious", Miss Jeon said
"Vitals?" I asked
"Blood Pressure is seventy over forty, and heart rate is hundred-forty," Miss Jeon said
"His breathing is weak," I said as I removed
"Doctor Min," I heard Miss Jeon say from her voice. I could tell that something was wrong. I looked up and saw her looking at the patient's neck. I looked down and saw his neck was swollen and his vocal cord bone leaning to the side.
"Tension pneumothorax {Collapsed Lung}" I said, "ten litres of oxygen through a mask and IV to hydrate him. get a twenty-four gauge and dressing set-" I commanded the nurse but was cut off by a voice
"If he was in a car accident, there is a high chance of internal bleeding" I looked towards where the voice was, and it was Beomgyu approaching the bed that the patient was in, and he started to check up on the patient. The nurse handed me the twenty four gauge needle and I started to work on the patient to insert the chest tube.
