"The patient is under cardiac arrest", Beomgyu called. I looked and saw Beomgyu on top of the patient doing chest compression. I felt my heart beat violently against, and my lungs became tense.
"Call Doctor Park", I yelled at the nurse and rushed into the ICU room.
"What happened?" I asked as I went around and started pumping oxygen through the intubation
"The Arterial blood gas analysis is out," a nurse said as she rushed in, holding small paper.
"Let me see," I said as she showed me the paper.
"Metabolic acidosis," I said, referring that there is an imbalance in the body's acid.
"Checking for a pulse," Beomgyu said as he checked for a pulse, but then he went back to chest compression. then I heard the door open, and I looked up, and it was Doctor Yeon
"Give me three bicarbonates," she told the nurse as she sanitised her hands, "Not with the epinephrine. another one"
What the hell does she think she is doing? I'm not going to let her kill this patient as well. What she did is enough. I can't let her do this anymore. Her coming here commanding is unacceptable because we don't even take commands from a doctor who decides to walk into any hospital and demands respect.
But no one moved under her command. "What are you doing? I'm Doctor Yeon Sooni from the city hospital. I'm the minister's doctor from now on. carry out the orders."
