For the rest of the day, I didn't see Beomgyu anywhere. The news of the hospital getting sued is now all over the place. How? I don't freaking know. But I didn't care. It was nighttime, and Beomgyu is still nowhere to be found.
Every time I ask a staff member, it's always like, 'isn't he in the staff room?' OR 'I also haven't seen him since the afternoon' OR 'Maybe he went back home?'
I even called Ah Rang, who was at home but he was not there. Poor Ah Rang, I woke her up from her sleep. I'm sure I walked through the whole hospital ten times. Nowhere to be found. I even tried calling him. doesn't pick up. At this point, I was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. I went to my office and just decided to do some work to distract myself.
After a few hours of working, I heard someone knock on my door, and it was Beomgyu, right there, smiling. I felt tears build up in my eyes as relief took over me. I thought he was taken in by the police. I was about to yell at him and ask where he was, but a figure appeared behind him, and it was the Minister's son. I froze. What? I looked at the son, and he seemed perfectly fine in terms of he didn't have any bruises on him, but his eyes were filled with fear as he kept constantly looking around and avoiding my gaze.
"Doctor Min. the Minister's son has few words to tell you," Beomgyu said as he dragged the son by the arm in front of me. I looked at Beomgyu as suspicion filled me and looked at the son, who looked away immediately from our gaze.
"I-I'm sorry, Doctor Min. There was a misunderstanding on my part," he said as he bowed ninety degrees. "I-I should have l-looked more into it, b-but Doctor Choi here told me that there was a video recording of the second surgery, and it contained information about the first surgery. I was just worried about my father after hearing he wasn't improving after the second surgery. I guess I just lost my mind for a moment. I sincerely apologise."
I let out a deep breath as I felt my body relax. I get why he is apologising. But at the same time, what video because I didn't know what he was talking about.
"Your father is going to be okay. I will make sure of it," I said. "But please do me a favour and get Doctor Yeon and her team out of this case."
"Yes, I will." with that, he walked out of the room, and Beomgyu was about to leave until I called him out.
"Doctor Choi Beomgyu," I said firmly, causing him to stop in his tracks. He turned around, and I could tell he was nervous. "Let us talk for a second"
"Ah y-yes?" he said as he entered my office and closed the door behind him
"Sit down," I said
"B-babe, please don't lower your voice. It's scaring me," he said as he approached me slowly.
"Do you know how worried I was?" I yelled, making him flinch. "All day, I have been looking for you, and you weren't anywhere to be found. I believed that the police took you in since you kept threatening to kill him."
