Dumpling was the first pet you had by yourself since moving to the city of Teyvat, and now he is gone.
A lone tear dropped from your eye as you scooped him out with a cup. You walked him through the kitchen and down the hall to the bathroom. After saying your goodbyes to your dear fish, you turned the cup over and watched him fall into the toilet.
Just as you flushed it, you noticed him moving around in the bowl like nothing had happened. "Dumpling!" You yell, but you were too late. His body swirled around a few times and then he was gone. Dumpling the beta fish belonged to the sewers now, there was no way you could get him back.
Today was going just swimmingly. First, you get sent home from work because your boss most likely hates you and second, your fish fake died and you flushed him down the toilet.
You trudged into the kitchen to only open the freezer and grab a small canister of ice cream. As you opened it you noticed it had freezer burn on it, but you didn't care. At the moment all you wanted to do was eat your feelings.
Walking back into the front room, you glared at Dumplings empty tank as you shuffled by. Sitting on the couch you turned on the TV and put on your favorite show while stuffing your face with ice cream.
"I should go to that new bar that opened up in the Mondstadt district." You mumbled, shoveling a spoon full of ice cream into your mouth. "I should see if Yae Miko wants to come with." And that's exactly what you did.
Pulling out your phone, you clicked the profile in your contacts with the woman with the pastel hair kissing another woman on the cheek. That other woman happened to be her fiancé who was the CEO of a huge business in the Inazuma district. 'I wish I could score a rich babe.' You thought before pressing the call button.
After about seven seconds her lustrous voice came through the speakers. "Y/N! What brings me the pleasure of hearing your voice today?" If Yae Miko wasn't in a relationship you would totally try to pursue her, but she was happy with her fiancé and you respected that. Ei was a good woman, she was perfect for someone like Miko.
"I was going to go to that new bar called Angels Share tonight, are you in?" After a few moments of silence Miko spoke.
"Sure! I'll bring my future wife with me." You could hear Ei giggle in the background. "Meet you there at nine?" You hummed in agreement. "Wait, aren't you at work right now?" You raised your hand and rubbed your temple.
