"Not again." Dilic sighs as he watches you at the counter cry. Once again you had drank too much and stayed until close. Diluc knew that you were no threat so he sent the bouncer home. As much as he was annoyed by you, it was something new in his life that kept it interesting. "Y/N." He groaned, taking away the two shot glasses that you downed. "You have a problem." He said.

"And you have pretty hair." You giggled with a smile. Drunk you never noticed his cheeks turning a pretty pink color. "But you ruined my shirt." The smile faltered.

Diluc scoffed, leaning on the counter. "I ruined your shirt? You're the one who didn't look where you were going." A pout formed on your face. "Don't look at me like that." A chuckles escaped past his lips. "Here is your card. Before you forget." He slid his card down the counter. You slid it back into your wallet and pouted.

"So you do laugh!" You slurred, slamming your hand down on the table. Diluc rolled his eyes and filled up a glass of water for you. "I think I'm gonna head home." You pushed the glass of water aside and slid out of the seat. Once again, the world tilted sideways and you stumbled into the wall. Dilic rushed to your side but you pushed him away. "No!" You yelled. "I can walk by myself. I don't need any help." You slurred again. Diluc raised up his hands. He kept a close eye on you as you walked out of the bar. In a blink of an eye, you were on the ground passed out.

Diluc sighed and walked over to where your unconscious body was. He mumbled a few colorful words and scooped you up in his arms. When you weren't drunk or crying you looked quite peaceful. He walked to his car and laid you down in the backseat so that you could be comfortable. You shifted in the back of his car, the leather squeaking as you moved. Luckily, Diluc remembered where you lived, but he didn't know which apartment was yours.

Twenty minutes later and you had finally arrived to your apartment building. Diluc gently shook you awake. Once you opened your eyes he had asked you which apartment was yours. "Two A." You said, looking up at him and then placing your face back on the warm leather.

"I need your help getting out Y/N, or else I'm going to drag you by your feet." You groaned in protest. Slowly, your got up. After shooting Diluc a dirty look you slid yourself out of the car. Immediately you leaned against the man. He gingerly grabbed the side of your torso to keep you from stumbling and lead you towards the elevator. "Which floor." He said. You mumbled a two. After pressing the button floor two you both waited patiently for the doors to open. "I need your keys."

"Right butt pocket."

"I'm not reaching in there."

You huffed at him and dug the keys out of your pocket and put it in his hands, you lingered there for a moment. "Your hands are soft." You blurted out. Diluc quickly pulled his hand away not saying anything.

Once he found your apartment he stuck the key inside and unlocked it. You stumbled out of his arms and made a b-line for your new pet. "Gizmo!" You yelled. The cat ran out of your way so that you face planted into the couch. "Gizmo!"You cried, flipping over on your back.

While you cried over your pet not wanting to love you, Diluc was looking around your messy apartment for a blanket, some Advil and a glass of water. "You have to clean up sometime." He almost started cleaning your apartment for you but refrained himself. It would be over stepping his boundaries. Now that he thought about it, he barely knew you and he was helping you get home from his bar. Why was he helping you? He took a look at your now sleeping frame on the couch, Gizmo the cat was curled up in your chest. Diluc didn't understand, but all he knew is that it had to stop. As much as he liked having something interesting in his life, it wasn't good for him. To him you were just a drunk with life problems.

He eventually found where you kept Advil and water. Placing it on the coffee table he started to leave. A sigh escaped past his lips and he back tracked and grabbed a stray blanket, placing it over your body. Gizmo ran out from under the sheet and moved right by your head falling asleep straight away.

"Goodbye." Is all he said before placing your keys on the counter and leaving the apartment. Diluc trudged back to his car with a heavy feeling in his heart. No, this was for the better. Next time you came in he was going to act like there was nothing between the two of you, even if it was just a blossoming friendship.
