The bartender put down your last shot in front of you, but to you it seemed like there was two.

"Last shot. Once you take it, get out of here." He said bluntly, sighing as you started to sip the shot. He might of been annoyed, but you were feeling great. "Ma'am, please. It's thirty minutes passed closing and I just want to get home." At this point, it was only you and him in the bar. The other people lingering left at close.

For some reason, his remark made you feel sour. "Do you... Do you hate me too?" You said, slamming down your shot on the table. "I knew it!" You drunkenly yelled. "Everyone hates me!" You put your head down on the table, your h/c locks falling your face. The bartender stealthily takes the small shot glass out of your hands, dumping it in the sink.

"I don't hate you ma'am. I just want to get home. It's been a long day." He said gently. You sniffled and looked up at him through your hair.

"Y'know... I had a really rough day. Can I tell you about it?" You slurred as you lifted your body to sit up straight. "Please?" The man rolled his eyes but nodded, saying if that would get you out of his bar. "So I have this coworker right? He keeps stealing my lunch! So I put laxatives in it today so I could catch the culprit." The corners of his mouth twitched a little, almost forming a smile, but you didn't notice. "And the motherfucker was Gorou! I watched as he ran with his tail between his legs to the bathroom, and you know what he did?" You dramatically pointed at the man.

It was quiet for a moment, then he spoke. "What did he do?"

"He told my boss! And don't even get me started on my boss! She is a total B-I-T-C-H! All she ever does is pile work on my desk like there is no tomorrow. Then there is this other coworker who does the same thing! I confronted her about it but I just got in trouble! Do you know what that does to a woman? I'm losing hair over it!" You grabbed the ends of your hair and twirled them around. "Then!" There was a pause for dramatic effect. "I get sent home and when I get home my pet fish is belly up in his tank." The image of his lifeless floating body flashed before your eyes. "So I take him to the toilet for a proper funeral, dumped him in. Just as I flush it the little shit starts moving!" You slammed your hand against the wooden table.

"Wow." Is all the man said. He wasn't sure how he should take care of the situation. Normally he would have his bouncer just kick out someone like this, but he didn't think it would get this bad so he sent him home. Now she was his problem to deal with.

"So my coworkers hate me, my boss hates me, and my fish died!" You started to sob. Tears poured down your face. "Ok, I guess I'll go now." Just as you slid off the barstool the whole world shifted and you fell into a wooden pillar. "Woah." You slurred. "This ain't good." The bartender hurried out from behind the counter and put your arm around his neck for support, but boy was he tall compared to you.

He sighed as he led you out of the bar. The cold city air brushed up against your warm skin. You groaned in pleasure from it. Inside of the tavern had gotten so warm.

"Do you have a ride?" You shook your head back and forth furiously.

"I almost did. Her and her hot fiancé bailed on me."

"Okay..." The man sighed again. "To my car we go." That perked you up quite a bit.

"Are we going on a car ride?" You said excitingly, stumbling as you walked down the side walk. His hand on your shoulder quickly shifted to your torso, pulling you closer to keep you from falling over. He only replied with a nod and took you to a black bmw parked out front. The man opened the passenger door for you and slid you in, grabbing the seat belt and moving it across your body. The car smelt like cologne mixed with the scent of a campfire. It was strange, but it's what came to mind.

The bartender swiftly came around the car and slid into the drivers seat. "Where do you live?" It took you a moment, but he took the silence as not knowing the answer to his questions. "Oh god. Don't tell me you forgot where you lived."

"Damn man, I had to think." You whined, crossing your arms. Why was he being such a dick? "I live in the Liyue district. Mt. Hula apartments on 120th street." As you said that, the car took off flying down the street. There was silence the whole car ride, but that was because the hum of the engine lulled you to sleep in just a couple of minutes.

A small shake made you awoke you from your slumber. "Hey. Get up." Said a voice, then another shake. "Come on, I don't want to have to carry you out of my car." A harsher shake this time.

"Mom, I don't wanna go to school." You slapped the hand away, then a violent shake is what made you really wake up. "What the-" you turned your head to the side and saw the man at the bar. "Mr. Bartender man?"

"My name is Diluc, now come on. It's past midnight." The man now known as Diluc held out a hand. You graciously took it and got out of the car. The little bit of sleep and fresh air sobered you up pretty quick. "Do you need help getting up to your apartment?" Said Diluc as she closed the passenger side door.

"No." And with that, the two of you parted ways without saying another word. You made a mental note to never show your face there again.

As you put your key into the lock of your apartment a thought came to mind.

He never gave you your card back.
