Soon enough, you fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.

Somehow, when you woke up you were placed in a very clean bedroom with black sheets covering your naked body. On the other side of you there was an empty spot that seemed to be slightly disheveled. "Diluc?" You called out. Holding the blanket close to your chest you had sit up to take a look around the bedroom. Everything in there looked very well put together. You scouted out a stray t-shirt that laid across the floor. Quickly, you ran out of bed and threw on the shirt before walking out of the bedroom and roaming around more of the apartment. Luckily it was the weekend so you could laze around for a while.

Again you yelled out Diluc's name but there was no answer. "Where did he go..." You said to yourself. After a while you finally gave up on looking for him and stole some sweatpants to put on. Once you were clothes you had grabbed the dress that you wore last night and slid on the shoes that you had. There was a sunken feeling in your chest as you left the apartment building. Why wasn't he there? Was he possibly at the bar making it clean before starting the day?

Out of curiosity, you strolled down the street to take a peek at the bar. You stood there as the darkened room stared back at you through the window. Where could Diluc be? After sighing in defeat, you called and Uber and went on your way home.

You sat on your couch with Gizmo curled up in your lap. Sitting back on the couch, you looked up on the ceiling as you pondered in your thoughts. "Did I do something wrong?" Your heart dropped. "Was I not good enough?" Gizmo hopped off your lap as you brought your knees to your chest and wrapped your arms around your legs to hold yourself close. What could of been the problem? Memories of last night flashed inside your head. Everything was perfect to you, was it not the same for him?

Pulling out your phone, you sent Diluc a text that you wanted to talk. You watched as the message delivered and quickly changed to read. After a couple minutes of waiting there was still nothing. "You gotta be fucking kidding me!" You yelled. That sadness and anxiety had turned into pure anger. "Is he seriously trying to ghost me?!" You let out a yell of anguish and threw the phone down on the couch. "Just you wait Diluc." You seethed.

With all the anger clouding your mind you weren't thinking correctly. You grabbed your phone that you threw and quickly tapped away as tears started to pour down your face.

Y/N
Hey there Keaya! Sorry I canceled on the last date.
Would you want to go out tonight to make up for it?

Keaya
Yeah sure! What time?

After setting up a time and place with Kaeya you stood there for a moment and thought for a moment. Was this really the right thing to do? What if something had happened? No, he would of told you. You had thought Diluc wasn't the type to do that kind of thing but you guessed wrong.

A guilty feeling settled in your stomach as you looked in the closet for something to wear. You didn't want to go full out but didn't want to look like a slob either. Eventually you had decided to throw on some nicer jeans and a decent blouse to match. You sat and watched T.V until it was time to go. Throwing on your shoes, you were finally on your way.

Kaeya and you had decided to go to a ice cream shop that was nearby your apartment. You had appreciated that he chose somewhere close so you wouldn't have to go very far. The ice cream shop was within walking distance so it didn't take you very long to get there.

As you arrived Kaeya was standing there with a flower in his hands. His face immediately brightened as his landed on you. "Y/N!" He shouted with a smile while waving his hand over. You returned the smile and walked back over to his side.

"Hey there!" Kaeya handed you the flower. "For me?" He nodded. "Thank you Kaeya." His cheeks turned a beautiful shade of pink.

"Let's head inside." He softly grabbed your hand and lead you inside. Both of you stood in line without letting go of each others hands while looking up at the ice cream flavors. "Did you want to split a large ice cream?" You thought for a moment but denied his request. You explained that you just wanted to have your own cup. "A woman who knows what she wants. I like it." He laughed. You let out a small giggle as the both of you stepped forward to order.

You had decided to be simple and get a flavor that you would always get and Kaeya had decided to try an ice cream called 'blue moon'. You pulled out your wallet to pay but Kaeya had beat you to it. He shot you a charming smile while telling you to chose where to sit.

After picking a secluded window seat, you both sat down and happily ate your ice cream. Kaeya asked a couple of questions about your life while you did the same after. You couldn't help but think of Diluc while you were on this date. What would of it been like if he was here?

As you talked with Kaeya more you had realized that you just liked him as a friend and nothing more. Once you finished your ice cream you sat there talking for a while and then started to finish up and leave.

Before you could start walking down the street Kaeya ran to catch up with you. "Would you like me to walk you home? Its starting to get dark out." Once again, you denied him.

"I appreciate the thought but I have to run an errand before going home." That was partially a lie, but you really did have something to do but it wasn't really an 'errand'.

"Did you at least have a fun time?" You nodded. "Would you want to do it again?" You shook your head. He asked why with a solum expression on his face.

"I've come to the conclusion that I like you as a friend Kaeya. Sure, your attractive and all but I don't feel anything romantic between us." Kaeya said that he understood, but if you were to change your mind you had his number. "So you're okay with being friends? You aren't mad?"

Kaeya let out a joyous laugh. "Pfft! No! I can't control your feelings. I can't be mad at you Y/N. Anyways, I'm down to be friends." He stuck out his hand for a hand shake. "Friends?" You grabbed his hand and did a firm shake.

"Friends." The both of you smiled at each other and finally split ways. He told you to text you when you got home to assure that you were safe.

Soon enough, you were standing in front of the bustling bar called 'Angels share'.
