While waiting for Diluc to arrive at your apartment, you were outside of the building with a bowl full of food yelling out the cats name. Tears streamed down your face as you did so, other bystanders gave you funky looks as they passed.

"Gizmo! Please come home!" You sobbed, walking down an alleyway to maybe see if he got stuck in something. "Come on boy. I miss you." Your heart was breaking every minute that passed and you started to get frantic. 'What if he was hurt? What if someone took him? Even worse, what if someone hurt him?' You thought. All you wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry. "I really am a bad owner. I don't deserve him." You whispered to yourself.

Just as you were about to give up, a voice came echoing down the alleyway. "Y/N?" Yelled Diluc. "What are you doing in here!?" You turned around and saw Dilucs silhouette at the end of the alleyway. How far did you venture down? "Y/N!" He yelled again. You busted out into a full sprint back to him. To you he looked like the angel at the end of the tunnel.

"Diluc!" You yelled. "Thank you!" You rammed into him with your body, enveloping him in a hug. Diluc stayed there with his arms up, he didn't know how to react to this. "Thank you." You said again but in a much quieter tone. You felt Diluc sigh and raise his arms down. He hugged you back for a moment but then softly pushed you off.

"Come on, let's find Gizmo." He smiled gently. "Where do you think he could be?" Thinking for a moment, you shrugged.

"I don't know. It's been about two hours. He could be anywhere." For all you knew he could be dead, but you didn't want to say that. It would just make you lose hope.

"Hey, you're going to find him." Diluc tried reassuring you but it didn't seem to work. His heart sank when he saw the look on your face, he wanted to do everything in his power to get rid of that expression. "Let's get looking."

As you both walked down the street yelling Gizmo's name a thought came to mind. "What about your job at the bar?" Diluc let out a small laugh. "What, did I say something funny?" He shook his head.

"No. It's just that." Diluc paused for a moment. "Did you really not know I was the owner of the bar?" You stopped dead in your tracks and stared at him. "What." He said bluntly. "So you really didn't know."

"So you're having the bar closed right now because of this?" Diluc shrugged as he went back to shaking a cat toy that jingled as it moved. How did he just shut down his bar so nonchalantly? You started to get that aching feeling again. How could he just drop everything to do this? Almost as if he was reading your mind, Diluc spoke. "Hey, no sweat. I really didn't want to work today anyways." You nodded, once again continuing yelling out for Gizmo.
