Adeline had been developing a relationship with Harry. She knew how she had missed out on so much if her nephews life and she hated it. She knew how she wanted to be there for him and support him. She knew that she saw James every time that she looked to him and it made her miss her brother

Adeline walked into the great hall. She looked to Harry as he sat with his friends and smiled. She knew that he had been through a lot and the fact that he was setting into life at Hogwarts made her feel happy

She knew how James and lily would be happy and Proud of him and despite how he had been raised by muggles she knew that he was a good kid. Adeline had nothing against muggles but she knew what the Dursley's were like

Adeline sat at the staff table as she looked to Severus. She saw as he narrowed his eyes at her and rolled her eyes. Adeline knew how he somehow had a problem with her and she didn't understand why. She knew that she had never done anything to him and it was all down to James

"I had some attitude off of your nephew. I had to give him detention" Severus said as Adeline looked to him

"I bet that you found comfort in that though didn't you Severus" she said as the two of them held a look

They knew that there was tension between them and she knew that it was getting to her

"Look I get that you don't like me Severus okay. But you have to try and get along with me. We are working together after all" Adeline said as they held a look before she stood up and walked off

Adeline stood in potions with Severus. She stop helping the Weasley twins. "Thanks professor" George said as Adeline smiled

"No bother boys remember to do the write up" she said as Fred smiled

"If I ask you out can you do it for me" Fred asked as Adeline chuckled

"Nice try" Adeline said as she walked over to the desk. She saw Severus who was watching her

"You shouldn't encourage it. The way they talk to you but the way you dress I can't say I blame them" Severus said

"Just because you dress as a spawn of Dracula Severus" she said as he looked to her. He couldn't help but be annoyed at the fact that students were looking at her especially as he knew how dumbledore had put her with him to protect her

Especially as he knew that he couldn't keep his eyes off of her himself

Adeline sat in the great hall as she looked to see quirrell as he ran in "troll...troll in the dungeon. I thought I'd let you know" he said as he fainted

Adeline looked as the whole of students started to scream. She looked to see Severus as he sneaked out of the back door

She frowned as she followed the rest of the staff towards the dungeons. She frowned as she saw Severus who wasn't with the moments ago

"What are you playing at" she asked as he frowned

"What are you talking about" he asked as she rolled her eyes

"You. Your up to something" she said

"Proof it" he said as she sighed

"Fine I'll go and talk to dumbledore" she said as she went to walk off as he grabbed her and pushed her against the wall and looked to her

"You don't know anything. I am protecting you...try and be a bit more grateful" he said as the two of them held a look before he walked off as Adeline stood feeling very confused
