Protecting her *S.Snape*

05- Care for her?

Adeline was annoyed over Severus. She knew how he was always there lately and she knew it was getting to her. She knew that he kept saying how he was protecting her but Adeline knew all that she had been through and she knew that she didn't need him to protect her

Adeline lay with her hand in her stomach and sighed. She knew that she had to get hi and face the day. But she knew that she didn't really wanna see Severus

Adeline got dressed and walked out of her chambers. She walked through the cold dungeons. That lead up from her chambers. The cold morning air gif her as she pulled her down around herself

She saw Harry as he stood by the great hall with Ron and Hermione "aunt Adeline" he said as she smirked as she looked fi her nephew

"I heard that you made the quidditch team. That's great. You'd father would be proud of you" she said as Harry smiled

"You think? I mean I don't know much" he said as she smiled

"I do. I know it's not been easy but I am here for you. I am your family no matter what, I think that your mother would of given you the third degree for lying on your broom when you were told not too. She'd worry that your chosen but then she'd see you play and she'd be ever so proud of you and your father, that would be different. He'd find it hilarious that your just like him. He'd be proud your following his footsteps in quidditch and I can see him giving you tips over it. He'd be proud of you. They both would. I know it's hard and I know that the Dursley haven't taken an interest but I'll be in the stands supporting you" Adeline said

Harry looked to her and smiled "thanks aunt Adeline if means a lot" he said as she nodded. She watched as he walked iff and sighed. She knew how he reminded her just if James and how it hurt. She knew just how much that she missed her brother even though it had been years

Adeline walked over to the staff table. She saw Severus. He wasn't looking at her as she sat down. She ran her hands through her hair as she picked at her food. She was not in the mood to deal with him

Adeline sat in her classroom. She looked to see Severus as he walked in and frowned "I wanted to apologise" he said as she frowned

"You did?" She asked as he nodded

"I didn't want to act as if I know you as I don't I know your his little sister and I'm sorry if it seemed I am taking it out in you but I do want to protect you" he said as she smiled

"That's very sweet of you Severus but I don't need your protection, I can look after myself I'm a good witch and I have survived in my own for so long" she said

She closed the gap between them as he looked to her and smiled. She didn't realise how close that they were until he placed a hand on her cheek and smiled

"I care about you Adeline that's all. I couldn't bare if something happened to you" he said as she smiled

"I'm fine Severus I swear" she said as he kissed the top of her head. The two of them stood there for a moment

She was aware of how close that they were getting and it scared her. But there was dirk thing about him. He made her feel safe and she needed that in her life. She had spend so long feeling scared and on edge

Adeline sat in her chambers. It was late at night but she couldn't sleep. She sat up front her bed and yawned as she glanced to an olde photo of her and James that sat on the side.

"You don't need to worry James. I know what you think over Severus but he is a good man and I am here, I will always look after Harry" Adeline said. She knew that she was getting closer to Severus and she couldn't help but think over her brother and just what he would think over the whole situation

Severus stood in albus office as he looked to the old headmaster "I see that you and miss potter are getting close" he said

"Yes I suppose" Severus said

"You don't need to do that Severus push people away not when it is clear that this girl cares a lot abut you. When you  also care over her. I know how you felt over lily and I know that you say your protecting Harry for her but what about Adeline. No one asked you to protect her"

"She was her best friend"

"I think that's it's more than that Severus. I think that we both know how you care for Adeline potter. You can deny it all you want but I think that we are both aware of just what is happening" he said

Severus looked to the older man and frowned. He knew that for years that lily evans, or potter as she was previously known as had been the one that he was in love with for years

He never thought he'd care for anyone else again. Especially James potters sister. He knew Adeline wasn't like her brother.. She was caring and selfless and now he couldn't stop thinking over her, he knew that part of him did care for her and how he couldn't bare the thought of something bad happening to her

He knew how conflicted that he felt over thinking over Adeline and how different that she was but she knew that he wasn't the type to fall in love. He knew that she was different

But could Severus snape actually be finding himself falling in love?
