07- Sophie

Adeline stood in her home as she walked into the bedroom of her daughter "why do I have to go to Hogwarts" Sophie asked as Adeline looked to her daughter and smiled

"Because. I need to keep you safe besides with the triwizard tournament you will be eternally Hogwarts this year anyway. Look your my daughter and I have always let you safe as i love you I just don't have a good feeling over this. It's always been me and you. I have been at Hogwarts to watch out for Harry but Sirius is back in his life too. I need you to be my priority" Adeline said as Sophie looked to her and sighed

"Are you going to ever tell me over my dad?" Sophie asked as she looked to him

"What you need to know is that he hurt me...more than he realised and I will always protect you from that okay. Your my baby girl and you may be fourteen and attended beauxbatons for the last three years but your getting older and I need to look out for you okay" Adeline said as Sophie sighed

"Okay. Do I really have to get the train there" Sophie asked

"How else to you expect to get their magic carpet" Adeline asked

"There's an idea. What if I don't get gryffindor I mean everyone in the family has been one and Harry is meant to be my cousin but we never met and I know who he is and that bit I don't want to suck up and expect me to like me" Sophie said as Adeline looked to her and smiled

"I know it's not easy. I do but whatever house you're in. I will be proud if you and you don't need to be friends either Harry or even like him. You can be yourself that's all that matters" Adeline said as Sophie smiled

"Thanks mum"

Adeline walked into the great hall. She knew them at Sophie was going to be sorted either the first years and she didn't like the idea of it and Adeline had told her it would woo be okay

Adeline took the only free seat at the staff table which happened to be next to Severus. The top of them had been close for the last few years but they had a huge row of Remus and Sirius black last year and there had been this tension. Adeline always knew that he was after revenge when it came to the childhood that they had been through and how James bullied him

Adeline knew she didn't approve of the things her brother did but she didn't hold a vendetta like Severus did especially when she knew how he revealed how Remus was a werewolf to the whole of slytherin house

"Are you still in a mood with me?" He asked as she looked to him and rolled her eyes

"Have you grown up and got over yourself yet?" Adeline asked as the two of them looked to each other.

Adeline saw Sophie walk in and smiled slightly at her. She knew how nervous Sophie was

"Sophie potter?"

Adeline watched as she took the landing and set down as the sorting get touched her head

"Slytherin"

Adeline closer her eyes and let out a sigh. She watched as Sophie took a seat with Draco malfoy and smiled. She was proud of her little girl. She was Glad to see her happy

"Another potter? Is there something you want to tell me?" Severus asked as Adeline looked to him and rolled her eyes

"What is there to tell. I didn't know you were so obsessed with my life Severus" Adeline said

"When you are keeping things from me" he said

"You're not my boyfriend Severus. You never were. We had one night together"

"Over fourteen years ago around the same age she is?"

"Have you got something to ask me?" Adeline asked as they sat starring at each other

"That's what I thought. Excuse me" Adeline said as the Hall was dismissed as she left with the students

Adeline smiled as she saw Sophie as she stood with Draco malfoy "Sophie?" She called as Sophie walked over to her and smiled

"Are you happy with slytherin? I know it's what you were worried about but I think you'll make friends if you ask me it seems as if you already have with Draco malfoy?" Adeline asked as Sophie smiled

"Does it make a difference to you" Sophie asked

"Baby I couldn't care less as long as you are happy"

"Please are asking if I'm your daughter what did I say?"

"Tell them the truth you are and I'm not ashamed your mine and I'm very proud of that and I don't care what anyone has to say" Adeline said as Sophie smiled

Adeline pulled her into a hug and smiled

"Be good, okay" Adeline said as Sophie smiled

"I'll try but mischief is in my dna I take over my mum"

"Sophie esmeralda I'm warning you" Adeline said smirking

Adeline sat in her chambers as she heard a knock. It was late as sat up a pair of shirts and a tank top. She answered the door and saw Severus. He looked surprised to see her dressed in such a way

"Put your eyes back in your head Severus. It's something you have seen before" Adeline said

"That was a long time ago" he said as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked to him and rolled her eyes at him

"Is there something I can help you with" she asked

"Sophie. She is your daughter" he asked as she nodded

"Yes would you like to know the details of my womb or something" she asked

"And the father? Is it me" he asked as she looked to him

"You think a lot of yourself do you know that. Just because we had sex a long time ago does not make you her father, if you must know she's Remus daughter" Adeline said as they sat looking at each other for a moment

He knew he didn't believe her and she knew that there was only so much longer she could keep it all hidden from him
