The Storm

Meanwhile with Jules...

"Jules, that wasn't cool at all!! Just why did you have to punch me earlier?!" Amadeus shouted at Jules angrily. "I'm sorry, Amadeus. But I couldn't let you tell the Captain about the Merhog I found earlier this afternoon." said Jules as he sighed calmly. "A Merhog!!" Charles shouted in shock. "Shhh! I was honestly hoping Amadeus wouldn't remember what happened, but no such luck." Jules said to his older brother Charles. "Not funny! I ought to report you and that Merhog you allowed to escape from here." Amadeus said as he mumbles. "I'll throw you overboard myself if you do." Charles said as he threatened the fox mobian in a serious tone. Amadeus gulped and stayed silent. "That's what I thought." Charles said in a serious voice while crossing both of his arms.

"That Merhog is a princess! Keeping her captive here against her will would have led to a declaration of war against us by her people! We'd all be dead!" Jules said to both Charles and Amadeus. "Aren't you exaggerating?" said Amadeus. "Why don't you kidnap a king's daughter and survive his wrath?" Charles said to Amadeus in a serious tone. "Which is why I had to knock Amadeus out before he told the captain or else all of us would be screwed." said Jules as he explained to his older brother. "That still wasn't cool, Jules!" Amadeus shouted. "Just don't let the captain know, Amadeus." Jules said to Amadeus. "Fine." replied Amadeus.

"The merhog told me that her name was Aleena, she explained that another pirate ship saw her and while she was making her escape she got injured in the process and ended up here in this fishnet." said Jules as he sighed calmly however The Captain approached Sir Charles, Jules, and Amadeus. "What are you three babbling about?" asked the Captain. "Just preparing to gather all of the fish here." Charles said to the Captain. "I see. Too bad we didn't catch a Merhog. I heard that another pirate ship encountered a purple one, but she escaped. A Merhog is worth more than gold." The Captain said to the two hedgehog brothers and the fox.

When the captain mentioned that it was a purple Merhog, Jules' eyes widened because the captain was talking about the same purple Merhog that he found but helped her escape from getting caught. 'Oh no... he's talking about the Merhog that I found earlier!' Jules said to himself in his head. "Legend has it that a royal Merhog has special gifts and powers. It's only speculations, but it's rumored that such a Merhog can also command sea animals." The Captain said as he explained to Sir Charles, Jules, and Amadeus. "Why would anyone be foolish enough to try to capture one with that kind of power in the first place?" Jules said as he asked the captain.

Aleena was underwater swimming happily but soon stopped when she heard the conversation and the ship was nearby. "Oh no! I'm in danger now that everyone knows that l'm here!" Aleena said to herself as she swam away quickly to not be seen by anyone. "Captain, I hate to interrupt the conversation however there's a really bad storm heading towards us!" said a female purple haired mongoose named Isabella. The captain and everyone there looked to see huge storm clouds approaching them with the currently gradually becoming difficult to sail through. "Dead Man's Chest!" the Captain said, "Jules, gather and store as many fish as you can! The rest of you secure our supplies and the sails!" The captain shouted to the rest of the crew mates as they left immediately to secure the supplies and the sails.

"This should be easy!" Jules said as he used his speed to store most of the fish however some of the fish fell into the ocean as Aleena soon saw the fish swam away quickly while she was about to swim back home. Aleena however stopped momentarily, as she felt that she needed to stay. She knew it would be dangerous with the potentially violent waves and ocean current, but she just couldn't leave Jules to the dangers of the coming storm. He had to stay alive, for her. Aleena swam up to the surface quickly as she soon saw that lightning struck one of the sails.

"One of the sails caught on fire!" shouted Amadeus. "Amadeus, don't panic!" Jules shouted up to his fox friend Amadeus Prower. "Too late, Blue. He's already panicking." Isabella said to Jules. "АНННННН!" Amadeus shouted while screaming in fear and in absolute panic. The currents became more violent and waves bigger as they and the winds continuously battered the ship. Soon a monster forty foot wave came at the ship. "BRACE FOR IMPACT!!" warned the captain as the huge wave struck the ship fiercely. The force of the wave threw Jules overboard.
