Arthur's Feelings about Isabella is revealed

Present Day...

"It was a most joyous day when I married my girlfriend. My father even performed the marriage ceremony for us." King Leonardo said to King Pyro and Queen Flama. "Makes sense seeing how he was the king after all." said Queen Flama. "I still remember Mother's song that she used to sing to my father...It was an original song that no one on land had heard before. It was a song of a lady's unconditional love, respect and loyalty to her lover and protector." Aleena said to King Pyro and Queen Flama. "She sang that song at our wedding reception also. With the way she sang and conducted herself, many came to love Athena welcomed her as the new member of the royal family. Despite being royalty, she never forgot the humble background she started from." said King Leonardo. "She must have been an amazing person." said King Pyro. "She is and I still think about her everyday..." King Leonardo said in a sadden voice. "Daddy..." Aleena said to her father King Leonardo in a sadden voice. "We're really sorry for the loss of your wife. It must've affected you this severely ever since she died." said Queen Flama.

"It affected everyone, not just me. My people lost a queen who was able to empathize with them. She lived with them when she and her sisters started out as regular orphan civilians. Life for them was hard back then. She was able to understand that better than me." King Leonardo said to King Pyro and Queen Flama. "Blackbeard and his crew and the people of Hillside city were the reason why I had a hatred towards the surfacers in the first place until I've learned that my youngest daughter was betrothed to one that was a former pirate a few months ago." King Leonardo told King Pyro and Queen Flama.

Pyro and Flama were confused by what Leonardo said. "I don't understand. How could you as the king not know that your youngest daughter was betrothed to a former pirate? How and why was this even allowed may I ask? As a king myself, a royal engagement would need my approval." said King Pyro. "I gave each of my three daughters a pendant that would find them a suited betrothed for them, Aleena's on the other hand chose a pirate that's a light blue male hedgehog instead of a male merhog." King Leonardo said to King Pyro.

"Fascinating! Why a hedgehog instead of merhog from your kingdom?" King Pyro asked King Leonardo. "If I may explain your majesty, my pendant rejected them. They were found unworthy of my hand in marriage." Princess Aleena told King Pyro. "What was it about them that made them unworthy of your hand in marriage?" Queen Flama asked Princess Aleena. "That male Merhog tried to court me and my pendant would kill him if he didn't leave me alone. However it didn't do that to Jules and it was probably after he helped me return back into the ocean and why my pendant accepted him instead of a merhog." Aleena said to Queen Flama.

"There's more to it than that. Those pendants I created sought out qualities I looked for in suitable husbands for my daughters. Qualities and characteristics that my father ingrained in me. Those male merhogs were lacking in those, which was why they were rejected." said King Leonardo. "It's wonderful how you've made those pendants for your daughters for them to find men that would take care of them." Queen Flama said to King Leonardo. "I rather have my daughters find someone that would take good care of them and not treat them as a plaything just because of their beauty." King Leonardo said to Queen Flama.

"I was surprised that it chose a pirate for my youngest daughter. But she explained to me how that pirate protected and saved her from being found by his fellow pirates. He prevented her from possibly suffering the same fate as my late wife. He sent my daughter back." said King Leonardo. "Or else you've would've ended up drowning everyone on land with tsunami." Aleena said to her father King Leonardo. "We don't want a repeat of that." said King Leonardo.

"We don't indeed. By the way, Aleena, where's your fiancé Jules? If I recall, you were with him and his brother Charles when you first appeared here and offered us treasures from Atlantica in exchange for rings." King Pyro asked Princess Aleena. "He's with Isabella right now and she's a female mongoose who is a former pirate like Jules too." Aleena explained to King Pyro. "This Isabella is a comrade of your fiancé. I take it he knew her before meeting you." said Queen Flama. "He did. He also help her in winning the heart of a certain soldier." Aleena told Queen Flama. Arthur cleared his throat, but that ended up blowing his spot.

"Oh shit..." Arthur said that under his breath and desperately hoped that no one heard that as that would be a major embarrassment to the royal family and military. "My apologies. Just merely clearly my throat." said Arthur. "Yeah, we can see that. Is there something you want to say?" King Leonardo asked Arthur. "No." said Arthur. Aleena saw that Arthur wanted the attention shifted from him and his relationship with Isabella. She decided to change the subject back herself with Jules. Leonardo already knew that Arthur was hiding something, but he decided not to question him about it, at least for now.

"Arthur, are you sure you're okay?" Aleena asked Arthur. "I-I'm fine..." said Arthur. "You don't have to hide your real feelings from others...You know. My mother gave you that advice way before you even became the colonel when we were young." Aleena told Arthur. Aleena, despite deciding to change the subject back to herself and Jules, felt compelled to do return back to the topic regarding Isabella and Arthur. "And on that note, I'll ask you again. Colonel Arthur, is there something you wish to add or say at this time?" King Leonardo asked Arthur.

"You see I actually had a thing for that female mongoose..." Arthur said to King Leonardo while he blushing in embarrassment. "Is that so? You had a thing for a female mongoose or are you in a relationship with one?" King Leonardo asked Arthur. Arthur knew not to dance around the question in front of two royal families. Regardless of his shyness about his relationship, he had to answer the question. "I am, with Isabella Mongoose." Arthur admitted to King Leonardo.

"That's new hearing that from someone who is workaholic all the time who never has time for anything especially women." King Leonardo said to Arthur. "Isabella was persistent and wouldn't give up. She adapted and changed her approach and behavior with me when she saw that her hardheaded and bossy attitude wasn't appealing to me. She dropped that persona for a more feminine and submissive one, allowing me to take the lead." said Arthur.

"That was because she finally humbled herself and was willing to listen to Jules and take his advise about how to go about winning your affections. She confessed that she was never good at getting a boyfriend. Jules made her realize that she didn't know what men want in women." Aleena said to Arthur. "I did have good time with Isabella last night, I will admit that." said Arthur. "Say what?" Leonardo asked Arthur. Arthur mentally smacked himself for blurring that out. Aleena giggled and blushed knowing what Arthur meant. "Too much information." said Arthur. "Don't worry. We won't interrogate you for further details about last night." King Leonardo said to Arthur. "Thank goodness..." Arthur said as he sighed in relief.
