(Kier's POV)
Me and Laurence decided to go back to mine and neither of us spoke the whole way there, simply enjoying eachother's presence. Laurence had his head rested on top of mine, my head laid gently on his shoulder. It couldn't exactly be vice versa; he was taller than me, a lot taller to be exact. But in a way, this made the little things easier, such as the way Laurence would hug me and I would feel protected wrapped up in his arms.

When we finally reached the house, I had to silently open the door and step inside, warning Laurence of the consequence I would receive if we were caught. But you're only entering your own house, and why would there be consequences, you ask? Well, if I was late home, I would pretty much become a human punch bag to my father. It would always annoy him if I got in late for "wasting his time" and anytime I was late, I was beaten up. I've got such a great dad, I know (note the sarcasm).

After taking our bags and coats off, I took Laurence's hand and we swiftly made our way up the stairs and into my room, closing the door quietly. We made it, and dad wouldn't suspect a thing!
"Wouldn't anybody notice that you didn't come home anyway?" Laurence questioned, taking a seat on a small leather chair.
I shook my head. "They never bother checking if I'm here or not. It's only if I suddenly appear that my dad will assume that I'm late home." I replied, followed by a sigh.
Laurence hummed and nodded. "So they never check on you? Not at all?"
I shook my head once again. "Not at all. Why, do yours?"
"All the time..."
It's not fair, Laurence has such perfect parents, I bet they don't beat him up like mine. Well, his father anyway. Unlike my mother who'll just stand back and watch, in too much fear to stand up to my father.
"Your life is so perfect, Laur." I sighed, genuinely jealous. I guess this is a reward when your such a nerd. Maybe I should try it sometime...
"My life isn't perfect, Kier, and far from it." Laurence replied.
"You don't have to go to mentoring classes, get used as a human punching bag, get watched pretty much every second at school do you?" I sighed.
Laurence shrugged. "I'm getting watched now."
He is? But he's never done anything wrong.
"God, you are turning into a badass aren't you?" I chuckled.
"Shut up, you wanted me to change like this. I'm doing you and myself a favour." Laurence said, dramatically folding his arms, making me giggle. My reaction made Laurence giggle too, making us both burst into a fit of giggles.
"What are you giggling at?" a cherry voice suddenly chuckled, making me and Laurence jump slightly. I turned round and saw my mum stood at the door, smiling.
"Nothing..." I muttered. When was it her business at what I was doing? I looked over at Laurence who was smiling awkwardly, he was always so polite to everyone he saw. Typical Laur.
"Kier I need to ask you a favour." Mum said, making me sigh and roll my eyes.
"What is it?" I groaned.

(Laurence's POV)
I couldn't understand why Kier was rude to his mother, she seemed pretty nice to me. Then again, Kier was pretty much rude to anyone who crossed his path. And he would probably never change.
"I need to borrow around a tenner from you."
Hearing these words immediately made me go red, I could feel my cheeks burning up. Kier had already given me £30, I expect that's all he had since he wanted me to pay him back. I was praying he might have something left over.
"What do you need it for?" Kier whined.
"I need it to pay for your next set of mentoring lessons. And don't lie to me and say you don't have it, I gave you thirty a few days ago." Nope, he definitely didn't have anything left. Way to go, Laurence.

I watched Kier's eyes widen slightly and his cheeks were tinted red. Great, here comes that guilt once again. He turned to me and bit his lip. I simply shrugged, not knowing what to do. It's not like I could make the money I owed him magically appear.
"Don't tell me you've lost that money already." Kier's mum said with a stern voice. Nice one, Kier was going to get a good telling off and it was going to be all my fault. Why did I ever fall into Drew's trap?
"I haven't, I just...can't remember where I put it." Kier groaned, looking round the room in thought, though I could tell exactly what he was thinking.
Kier's mum scoffed. "Right, I'm going downstairs to try and find anything. I'll be back up in five minutes and I expect at least a fiver from you."
Kier didn't sat anything else as she shut the door, but as soon as she left, he turned to me.
"Laurence, I know it's a big ask, but I need that money back."
"I know your desperate, Kier, but I can't just make it appear."
Kier raised an eyebrow at me. "You need to pay me back at some point."
Kier was right with what he was saying, but there was no way I could get the money back this quick. I didn't even know myself how I was going to get the money back. Unless I spoke to Drew.
"I'll try get it back for you, Kier."
"You mean you will." He corrected.
I rolled my eyes at him but nodded. Okay, I definitely needed to speak to Drew.
"Look, I need to get going. I'll get that money for you, okay? Just find some excuse for now." I said, standing up and making my way over to Kier. We were face to face and soon Kier's smile was opposite me.
"Okay, Laur." he whispered, wrapping his arms round me and pulling me in for a hug.
"I love you, Kier." I whispered into his mop of red hair.
"I love you too, Laurence." Kier whispered back, giggling.
I placed a kiss on Kier's lips as we pulled away from the hug.
"I'll see you tomorrow." I said before stepping away from Kier and walking to the door. I smiled once more before I walked out of the warm bedroom. As happy as I may have seemed, I was as guilty as anything. My love was in need, and it was all my fault.
