// If you were wondering why I published chapter 5 again, it's because I made a small mistake without noticing it. Sorry.
Chelsie's POV
I held Sammie's hand as we walked downstairs together, to have a chat with Myra. I honestly didn't quite care about what she had to say. I genuinely thought she was a good person, but she turned out to be a wicked freak. She turned Sammie, and I wasn't going to forgive her for that. I was still traumatised now from that experience of watching her turn. It felt like a horror movie...
"I'm not sitting next to her. Can't make me." I told Sammie as I saw Myra sitting at the dining table, waiting for us patiently. "Okay, it's your choice, babe." she told me back before she let go of my hand and walked over to the table, sitting next to the woman I now despised. I walked over to the table also, but I remained a couple feet away from them. "Are you fine with standing?" Myra asked me, "Yes, I'm fine where I am. I don't want to be near you, in your personal space." I replied, crossing my arms as I stood my ground. She chuckled at this, shaking her head a little. She then leaned forward to Sammie's ear, whispering something. A few seconds later, she pulled away and leaned back in the wooden dining chair.
"I would love to welcome...-"
"Fuck your welcome. We aren't supposed to be here. Where did you come from, anyway? Everything was almost perfect until you came and ruined things, like for example, turning Sammie." I confronted her immediately, unable to hold my anger in. "I came from earth. I was born centuries ago and was given a gift of immortality." she said calmly, "I am not sure if you were aware, but I have dealt with somebody like you before in my past, called Sky." she decided to tell me. I pretended to yawn, not caring about her past whatsoever.
"Are you deliberately trying to piss me off, Chelsie?"
"Not really, I just don't care about your ex-mates. It's not a real thing." I told her the brutal truth, which made her get up and then she sped up to me, getting in my personal space by almost breathing on my neck. Her eyes turned into a dark shade of purple. "Hurt me, and I'll hurt you back." she threatened me. That was a huge temptation because I wanted to slap the hell out of her for kissing Sammie. Speaking of Sammie...
"Why isn't she interfering?" I asked out loud, "She's a good girl, that's why." Myra told me, before I moved my head to look at Sammie. Her eyes looked doll-like. Hypnotised...
"Mates are a real thing, Chelsie. Don't be in denial. You know it's real." Myra continued on, softly placing her hand against my cheek. She tilted her head to the side slightly, her eyes were searching mine. "I see your problem now..."
"Yeah, I got a problem with you." I told her, getting into her face. This made her chuckle again, "Nope. You just want to experience happiness and love. That job was giving you a lot of stress and I'm glad to say that we aren't going back to that job. I sold it." she said back, "You make no fucking sense." I told her, before I side stepped around her and walked over to Sammie.
"Sammie, snap out of it." I ordered her, causing her to look up at me. Then, she gave me the most haunting smile and placed her lips against mine. "Ah, the power of love..." I heard Myra, as Sammie was giving me a heat of the moment kiss, which made me kiss her back. The feeling of intensity went away, and I was in Myra's hypnosis.
A few minutes later, I pulled away then looked at Myra.
"I'm sorry for being naughty. It won't happen again..."
