Chapter 17 - Mirror Scare

Chelsie's POV

It has been a couple of days since Myra bit me in the shower, and I felt like I had changed. I was hungry, but I didn't feel like eating. They both knew that something was happening to me. I went into the bathroom, to look at my reflection. I was still a human, for now. Maybe I should try to eat, and if my body says no, then...

Suddenly, my own reflection turned into something evil. She looked exactly like me. I tried to wave at myself, like a crazy person would. My 'reflection' didn't wave back, she just stared at me. "Speak." I ordered her, thinking that this was just a silly prank. But how could it be a prank, when the woman looked like me? 

Her red lips turned into a smirk, "I'm you." she chuckled, even her voice sounded dark. Then, the mirror returned to normal and I was staring into my own soul with teary eyes. "Babe, what's wrong?" Sammie asked me, causing me to turn my head to look at her. "I don't want to become her." I replied, "Become who?" she asked me back. "I think I saw the dark side of myself, in this mirror. She was a vampire, she had the most scariest pair of red eyes I have ever seen. I am not making this up, babe. Something's wrong with me and I need help." I told her, then began to sob at those last couple of words. 

"Having a bit of food is the answer, babe. That hallucination you just had, it wasn't real. You saw me turn a while ago, and I don't remember seeing my reflection becoming aware of things. Take my hand and I'll lead you into the kitchen. Tell me what you want and I'll make it for you." she told me softly, offering her hand. I took her hand, and watched her lead me away from the freaky mirror. 

She sat me down at the counter and placed a kiss against my cheek. "So, what's your order for today?" she asked me, as if she was a waitress. This was why I loved her in the first place. Her humour. 

"Surprise me." 

"One surprise coming right up." Sammie smiled.
