Layla's POV

I kept trying to convince myself that it would just be me and this vine haired girl from class 1-B in the stadium. Because as much as I was fine with my class watching, having nearly everyone in the country watching made me a bit anxious.

You can do this Layla, put your head in the game and just don't worry about anyone watching. I huffed and heard that it was my turn to go into the centre of the stadium, Curse you Violet for always getting injured! When you could've been here relieving my stress, you had to go and hurt yourself from doing something stupid again.

I shook my head and chuckled, She better at least be in the stands watching me fight, otherwise there is no way of me fighting this girl. This better not end up like Sero's match that was right before my fight.

I opened a door that led me to a tunnel, and on the other side of the tunnel was the open area in the stadium and the fighting 'ring' in the middle.

"The next people we will have fighting today is Ibara Shiozaki from class 1-B, and someone we've only seen a little bit of, it's the second youngest from class 1-A, Layla!"
Present Mike announced and the audience went wild.

I can't back out now! God dammit, should've ran while I had the chance.
I shook my head walked out into the fighting area. The girl I was fighting looked like she had been pulled out of a rose bush.

No I mean literally, this girl had thorns for hair, and she looked like a Christian(and there is nothing wrong with that at all!). I chuckled at myself and in the corner of my eye I could see where my class was sitting, and I could see Violet leaning off the railing that was there.

If she falls off I'm going to laugh. I chuckled again and didn't realise that apparently Banana man (present mike) had said for the match to start, because I looked at the girl and she sending her hair towards me!

"Oh hell no!" I just managed to dodge her hair and she did not look like she was going to move until I was out of bounds.

Unlike you, I know alot about being out of bounds and in places I shouldn't be. I noticed that in my little inventory of dolls, one of her had appeared in the stash.

So of course I grabbed it and threw it out of bounds, which I thought would 100% work. She moved towards the white line very quickly, but I did not realise that she could control her quirk better than me and she stopped herself with her vines.

I blinked, Oh shit, that isn't good.

But then I remembered something that I had recently found out I could do, the thing was, I had to get close enough to the girl to be able to do it.

"I can do this." I ran as fast as I could towards the girl, just dodging and weaving through and past all the vines she sent at me.

It was a bit of a struggle, but I managed to get close enough to do my little trick, I spotted her shadow on the ground and smirked, and I basically became her shadow. Well that's what it looked like to everyone else, for me it looked like I was just standing on her shadow.

But the only downside was, whenever she moved I did the same movement, but that also meant I could move and she would too.

"It seems that Layla has disappeared from the fighting ring! Where has she gone?" Present Mike said like he was talking to a group of pre-schoolers.

Oh if only he knew. I smirked and started to walked toward the out of bounds area, this Ibara chick following.

"Is Ibara walking towards the out of bounds area?!" I looked up to the stands to see everyone really confused, except for Violet. She had a big stupid smile on her face, I think she was even laughing.
