3rd POV
"Fight!"
Midnight announced and Mina started running toward Layla, who stood still watching Mina run at her.
The second Mina was a foot away from Layla, and held her hand up to throw acid at her. Just like she did with Shiozaki, Layla stepped beside Mina and disappeared into her shadow.
This wasn't her whole plan but she had to make Mina pay for calling her an emo princess.
Because, for the record, she wasn't emo at all. She just enjoyed dark colours.Mina froze in her spot and everyone could only guess that Layla was doing the same thing she did to Shiozaki.
Mina could only guess that she was being 'possessed' by the younger girl and sighed."If you're possessing me, I just want to ask you to not talk in my head. Please and thank you!" Layla thought for a second.
She wasn't necessarily possessing Mina, she had just became her shadow. But now she was wondering if she could actually possess people, like ghosts do in horror movies.
While Layla was thinking to herself, she hadn't realised that Mina figured out that she could walk around.
So Layla was following Mina around the area while Mina tried to figure out where Layla was.Layla decided to just walk toward the boundary line of the fighting area and push her out like she did with Shiozaki.
Nice and easy and it'll probably catch her off guard like it did with the vine chick.
Or those were Layla's thoughts atleast. So just like she did in the previous battle, Layla started running toward the boundary line. She needed to get this battle over as quickly as possible so she could rest for a bit.
She was two steps away from the boundary line and was about to push Mina out of bounds, but the moment she got out of Mina's shadow, Mina threw acid toward her.
The acid hit Layla's leg, causing her to fall to the ground.
"Oww!" She said in an almost offended tone and stuck her leg that didn't have acid burns on it out behind her. 'I didn't take self defence lessons for nothing.' Layla thought and swung her leg around and hit both of Mina's ankles. Sending her plummeting over the boundary line and onto her butt.
Crowning Layla the winner of the fight.
"Layla is the winner!" Present Mike announced and the crowd cheered for the black haired girl.Mina sat up and held her hand out for Layla to shake, "That was amazing! Thanks for fighting me Layla." Layla laughed and took the girl's hand, shaking it.
"It's my pleasure Mina." Mina stood up and helped Layla to Recovery Girl's office.
"Hey Layla I have a question for you." Mina stated and Layla nodded, telling her to ask the question.
"Are you and Violet actually dating? It's been on my mind for about a week and I wanted to ask. I mean you always call eachother baby, honey, dear and flirt with eachother alot."Layla laughed and shook her head, "No we aren't actually dating, it's more platonic that romantic when we say 'wife'." As Layla explained Mina nodded and listened.
"If I'm being honest, we're basically like sisters." Mina smiled."I thought so. I just wanted to confirm my suspicions." Mina stated and opened the door to Recovery Girl's little bay.
'Hah! Kaminari owes me 50 dollars.'
She spun around and faced away from Midoriya to look at who entered, she smiled when she saw the two girls.
"Hello dearies, what can I do for you both?"Mina smiled sheepishly and helped Layla to a bed, "I accidentally gave Layla a really bad acid burn on her leg." Recovery Girl nodded and walked over to where Layla was sitting and kissed her leg better.
