After waiting for what felt like hours, the doorbell finally rings.
Lili. Thank goodness.
I walk down the stairs as fast as I can and open the door to let her in. It sort of calmed me down knowing Lili had arrived. She was the only person who knew the full truth behind this story and the only one I could trust right now.
As I open the door, theres silence in the air between me and Lili whilst tears stream down my face. Although I was trying so hard not to show any kind of weakness, I couldn't. Especially when im standing in front of my best friend, who knew everything about me.
She walks into my house and simply just hugs me as a response, which was all I wanted. Comfort and silence.
For a few minutes, I just sob in her arms like a complete mess. Ugh. I really wanted to just stay in her arms like this for hours, ignoring all the stupid instagram posts but this was the real word, where I had to deal with my problems.
She eventually breaks the silence between us.
"Look at me" Lili demands lightly as i face towards her and dry my eyes with my hoodie.
"Don't stress too much. If Pedro really loves you, he would know that the picture isn't recent without a second thought. Besides, he hasn't texted you anything about it yet, has he?" she tells me.
If Pedro "really" loves me? It shouldn't be a doubt that he loves me.
"I mean, I don't think he did. Maybe its best to just not check and handle things in person anyway" I reply, trying to push the topic away.
"What do you mean you think?"
"I've been avoiding my phone since Oscar texted into the group Chat, come on Lili he basically confirmed that Pedro has seen the rumours too"
"So what if he's seen them or not? You have to deal with it either way and its better sooner than later. Besides, he isn't that much of an idiot to believe them, is he?"
"Who knows"
