Let me tell you a story about a woman who fell into two crowds: the good and the bad.
Of course, there are pros and cons to each category, but I suppose it only depends on the way you look at it...

TW!: swearing, mentions of injuries

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey Dutch, you might want to have a look at this." Hosea Matthews, the best friend of Dutch van der Linde for decades, called over the younger man. Dutch's head perked up from his tent, his dark eyes full of curiosity and caution. He made his way over to the older partner in crime with a slight pep in his step and stopped when he was basically hovering over Hosea.

Hosea was seated at a wooden table, reading from a newspaper that looked as if it had just come out. "Look here." Dutch followed Hosea's older, thinner index finger as he tapped on the page before setting the newspaper on the table. Dutch leaned over with his friend and his mouth gaped at the title page.

"Leviticus Cornwall and Eden Cornwall found mortally wounded in fire."
Below the Title, read a name Dutch and Hosea had met many times before and would most likely would meet again. The name wasn't a surprise, but the bounty and photo were.
"Bounty Raised!" it read. "Kam O'Driscoll -- $15,000 -- Wanted Dead or Alive -- Visit Any Sherrif's Office for More Detail"

Below the wanted information was a black and white ink drawing of Kam O'Driscoll. It seemed that artists these days loved to over exaggerate their art styles, hatching and cross-hatching everywhere there should be shadows, making Kam's almost perfectly drawn face look rugged. Dutch hadn't noticed it before, but now that he looked at Kam's bounty poster, he began to remember the scar that ran down her neck, drawing from the right of her jaw down to her collarbone. The artist clearly saw the scar a lot more than Dutch had because it was sketched on there with precision.

Columbs next to her bounty described the events that had happened and why Leviticus had doubled her bounty and was more than willing to press charges. Dutch skimmed over the paragraphs, grabbing little information, as he read to himself. "Officials say that... found South of the Oil Fields... smoke attracted law enforcements... burned and mangled... healing well... fast recovery... accusing Kam O'Driscoll... working with Colm O'Driscoll... willing to pay anything to see her swing..." Yellow Journalism was a bitch, but it wasn't wrong.

"Seems she's been busy." Hosea commented, earning a grunt from his younger friend before he spoke.

"It mentions Colm, but there isn't anything about us in the mix, so I can assume we're okay for the time being." he sat down in the chair next to Hosea, snatching the paper to get a little more information.

"Well, it's not like they know much about her either."
"What do you mean?"
"They mentioned her past crimes, the fire, and the fact that she's connected to Colm through blood. They don't seem to know anything about her leaving New Hanover or her not running with Colm anymore. All they know is she's wanted for attempted murder- amongst other crimes." Hosea explained.

Arthur and John, who had been listening from afar, decided to put their input on the matter. The brothers leaned over Dutch just like he had done to Hosea, eager for information. "Guess we don't have to worry about any Cornwall's for the time bein'." Arthur commented in a low, chuckling voice.

"No shit. 'Burned and mangled'? The hell did she do to them?" John asked and folded his arms across his torso.

"According to yellow journalism, she lured Leviticus into a shack for the safe return of his daughter, stole about seven-hundred dollars, and then lit the place on fire while his back was turned." Dutch answered, setting down the newspaper to look his sons in the eyes as they came into view; Hosea watched his friend as he spoke with certainty.
