"Kam! Get your ass up now! We got work to do!" the hard knock on the wooden door sent a breeze of the cold, dry winter air through the crevices, waking up the thirty-year old girl. "Jesus Colm, I'm up I'm up. Cool your tits." she grumbled and kicked the thick wool blanket off of her slim body.

She began tugging all of her clothes on with a shiver here and there due to the cold of the mountains. Her body was curved, making a sort of hourglass shape with her wider shoulders and slimmer waist that complimented her tall figure. Her hair was short, short enough that anyone would think that she was a boy unless corrected.

Her entire head was covered in a Raveonette color, nearly aligned with her earlobes in a heap of curls and stranded pieces of hair. It was difficult to style such short hair, so not styling it would be preferable for Kam. Her wardrobe was simple yet elaborate.

Her outfit consisted of multiple layers, but one can never be too prepared without a white undershirt: just to be safe. A black, men's button up shirt along with a red, button-up vest that acted as a corset around her waist was both a mix of feminine and masculine at the same time. A pair of high-waisted leather jeans squeezed her legs just enough to be flexible and still exaggerate her leg muscles, fitted with a pair of black riding boots customized with golden, nearly rusted, spurs. Two bandoliers full of bullets hung around her torso to go with her duo gun holsters around her hips, shining in the morning winter air.

To reduce the risk of frostbite, thick, black leather gloves fit snuggly around her dry and calloused hands while a black hat sat atop her head, protecting her red ears from the cold.

"Kam! Now!"
"I'm coming!" already in a bad mood, she shoved her Nagant M1895 and her Colt M1898 into her holsters and threw open the shed door. A shed wasn't nearly enough space she needed, considering that she was the right-hand woman to the most dangerous gang in the West.

"Took you long enough! You women and your obsessive needs to wash every goddamn morning." Johnathon spoke, spoking a cigar next to Kam's door as she closed the door behind her.

She glanced at the man, nearly eye-level with him, and looked him up and down before taking his cigarette from his mouth and stealing it. It was followed by a 'hey!' as she walked down the steps and towards Colm O'Drisoll.

Colm O'Driscoll...
The same man who 'saved' Kam when she was only ten years old. The same man who taught her how to handle a gun, run fast, steal quietly, and take no shit. And swearing. He taught her a lot of swearing.

"Hey! Bitch! Who told you you could take that from me?" Jonathon turner her around by her shoulder and swung first.

Quick thinking was also a thing Colm taught her. She ducked with ease and struck second, bloodying his nose as he fell to the ground. "You forget your place, Johnathon. If it were up to me, you'd be out on your ass being fed on by wolves by now, do you understand me?" She leaned over the man as he wiped his nose, unfaltering eye contact, practically staring into his soul. She didn't smile.
It was rare to see Kam smile. She never smiled. It showed weakness. Pity. Pathetic emotions.

"Kam! Now!" her head immediately turned over to the dirty man sitting atop his horse.

She stopped everything to walk over to her mentor, the man she was supposed to take over the O'Driscoll business from. She was his successor. Colm knew it. She knew it. Everyone in camp knew it.

"I'm gonna go scout out town, see if there's anything of value in that bank of theirs. You stay here and maybe I'll bring you back a pretty penny." He caressed his dirty hand against her cheek before patting it with a smack. He rode off into the trees with about seven men on his tail with him as she watched him disappear.

Now, Kam was in charge.
Now, shit was about to get real.

"Alright you dirty sack water pieces of shit! You best get working on this camp! We've caused enough trouble as it is, and we don't need the damn Pinkerton's on our tails again!" there was silence as all the men stopped in their tracks and stared at the only woman in camp.
That's right. Kam was the only woman in camp.

She practically grew up with 50 brothers, each of them tried to sleep with her at least once. None have succeeded.

"And uh- why should we listen to you? Daddy Colm isn't here anymore to protect little ol' Kam~" one of them decided to try their luck that day as he waltzed up to the girl who stood at 5'7".

"In case you've forgotten, I've got the fastest hand in this camp when it comes to things I want done. So, unless you want to keep your balls, I suggest you get back to work before I shoot your nut sack off. Or do you need a reminder?" The stare between the 5'7" woman and the 6" man was colder than the frosty mountains North of the O'Driscoll's camp.

The man huffed a hot breath into her face, the smell of liquor and cigarettes flooding into her eyes, and yet she was unflinching. "Can't believe I'm taking orders from a girl..." he muttered.

"That goes for all of you! Now move it, cunts!" Kam looked around at all the men who had been staring before and watched as all heads went down and they began moving a lot faster than they had been.

The camp was going smoothly. Until a rival gang showed up to ruin all the fun...

Right, so pretty good prologue chapter if I do say so myself.
I'm super excited to introduce y'all to Kam and the adventures she's going to have.
No TWs for this chapter just because it wasn't time, but you should all know that there will be profound and fairly creative curse words from here on out.
Kam grew up with over 50 brothers and you expect her not to swear like a sailor? Yeah right.
