"So...."
"So?"
"What do you listen to on it?"
Lance pointed to the thin pair of headphones sitting in the open compartment on the motorcycle that Keith was currently putting his helmet in.
"Oh, just...music."Lance rolled his eyes, and strolled over to Keith, who was leaned against his bike, the colorful lights of the carnival reflecting off his face. Keith lit up a cigarette.
"Obviously, but what kind." Lance said.Keith hesitated, then pulled out his phone, and browsed for a second.
"Uh, rock, heavy metal...yeah." Keith said, holding his phone in one hand, cigarette in the other."I figured you listened to rock. But like what stuff. Besides My Chemical Romance."
Keith looked offended.
"I do not listen to MCR."Lance tsked. "The fact that you call them MCR, tells me you do."
Keith rolled his eyes.
"I listen to old stuff. Eighties, nineties.""Seriously? Like, Highway to hell, and Hooked on a feeling?"
Keith scoffed. "Highway to hell came out in 79, and Hooked on a feeling is pop."
"So, you do listen to them!"
"I...uh, I guess."
"I can't believe you listen to cheesey eighties love songs!"
Keith blew a ring of smoke into Lance's face that made him cough.
"I don't listen to hooked on a feeling. And eighties love songs are not cheesey."Lance laughed their the cough.
"They are definitely cheesey. What is love, careless whisper, I wanna know what lov-""Yeah those ones are cheesey, but some are actually good." Keith said, glancing at his phone for a moment, then looking back at Lance. Lance only hesitated for a moment, before swiping Keith's phone, and looking at the screen. It was a music playlist, he quickly hit play on the first song. Keith quickly moved towards him to take the phone.
As a quiet piano began to play, Lance stuffed the phone in his jacket pocket after turning the volume to max, and zipped it up. Thankful that the jacket Keith gave him and zippers.
Lance smiled as Keith tried to unzip the pocket. Then the lyrics began to sing, muffled by the leather.
"Turn around, every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming around."
"...."
"........"
"That is absolutely cheesey." Lance said, smiling.
"Shut up." Keith said, finally giving up, and huffing out a breath. Looking like a grumpy toddler with muscles. Lance chuckled at the image.
"Shut up." Keith said, a flush now on his cheeks. Lance hadn't been sure Keith could get embarrassed.
"It's cute!" Lance said defensively.
Keith practically growled at him.
"I am not cute. I'm an adult, I'm a ma-""No, I said it's cute. Like, the love song thing!"
"Whatever." Keith crossed his arms, and looked away as the music played.
